    Manchester Infill & Small Developments

I wrote a letter to the Mayor's office maybe 4 years ago recommending the Board of Mayor & Alderman put out an RFP for developers to reimagine Hartnett Lot, citing the opportunity to improve upon recent investment in Victory Park by making it the urban living room it deserves to be (3 of 4 sides...

    General Boston Discussion

Unless I'm mistaken, Park 151 is in Cambridge, opened in 2023, and added 468 housing units to the city. Not a very well-researched article to have missed that (and probably others). Housing is a regional issue that requires regional solutions. When it comes to communities pulling their weight to...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

I'm with @goldenretrievers on this one. They're different developments. If St. Regis Residences, Echelon Seaport, Commonwealth Pier, and 10 World Trade Center are distinctive enough not to bundle, then so too are Assembly Innovation Park, Assembly Row, and Assembly Square Gateway.

Northeastern University - Institutional Master Plan

Northeastern Facebook page shared photos of EXP this morning with the caption, “Get an exclusive look inside EXP, our new 357,000-square-foot facility that is close to completion.” And in other Northeastern-related news, it was confirmed this week that the university’s acceptance rate has...

    Residences at Rivergreen | Everett

I live in Everett and am happy to answer. First of all: incredibly walkable city, same walk score (83) as Boston! Not only is the city's sidewalk infrastructure in great shape; but also the Northern Strand, Malden River, and Mystic River trail networks are excellent and getting better. The...

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

It’s called a soft opening. The B-C connector did the same thing. With the tens of millions of passengers that pass through Logan Airport annually, a soft opening is an opportunity for new vendors, lounges, and employees to train and settle in as the number of visitors gradually escalates. New...

This seems large enough to merit its own thread (and not to be confused with other projects at/near Assembly Row by different development teams). Developer Raises $68M On CrowdStreet To Fund Huge Boston-Area Project Screen grabs from the linked video pitch on Crowd Street's website:

Stop and Shop Mixed Use | 1690 Revere Beach Parkway | Everett

There are '3' existing apartment buildings in that photo--not 1. Calling them Stalinesque or Stalinist is a stretch. The urban form here and mixed use composition of the different buildings is a lot more varied than Soviet-era housing blocs baked in, at least in the mid-century.

    General Boston Discussion

I took a walk around the city yesterday afternoon and couldn’t help but admire how many people were out and about enjoying it. The walkable urbanism is palpable and continues to improve year after year. Having visited a lot of European cities this year alone (Rome, Naples, Dubrovnik, Amsterdam...

Amazon Office II/SeaPAC | 1 Boston Wharf Rd. (Seaport Sq Parcel L5) | Seaport

I didn't realize this was net-zero development. Among that, SeaPAC, permanent job creation, and public realm improvements, this is the type of new development any other city would envy. Kudos to the development team!
