Lincoln Square Boy's Club | Salisbury Street | Worcester

Big win for the area. If only they could figure out something with the Aud.

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

I think we're finally hitting the point where renders can only do so much to sell you on a building. The primary render for this place is so deep in Uncanny Valley territory that it's impossible to make any judgements on how the building will actually interact with the streetscape, plus they put...

    "Dirty Old Boston"

Almost completely unrecognizable if it wasn't for the Esplanade in the foreground! The big spire to the right must be the Church of the Covenant on Newbury and Berkley, then 31 St. James is visible behind it, with the Park Plaza overlapping to the right. The Ritz-Carlton would be the taller...

Massachusetts Turnpike/I-90 (Current Projects, Conceptual Improvements, & Long Term)

Man I wish that would have existed when I was taking the CR into Boston. It would be closer to where I live in Grafton than Grafton Station itself. I'd want to see a bridge over to 122 to the south, however. The 20/122 interchange can be a bit of a nightmare.

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

Yeah, this is kind of where I stand. I respect the angst about the loss of the old buildings, but I really dig the aesthetics of this, it hits a nice late-80s/early-90s nostalgia sweet spot for me. I think people who don't know what used to be there will think it's fantastic.

If you designed a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would it look?

So my gut feeling at looking at these, specifically the light rail, is that while it hits the main landmarks, it also misses vast areas where people actually live. I think a good (idealistic) compromise is 4 lines: Line 1 (Rt. 12 parallel) Mountain QCC Higgins Gold Star/Indian Lake...

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

Nope, ignore my post - I was just going based on visuals and overall width, looks like they striped it different so I'm wrong. Not the first time and definitely won't be the last!

Skylines and Developments of the US/World

Now I want an urban BJ's! Maybe with a more limited selection than a full store, but I don't see too many negatives to having bulk quantities of "you need it anyway" stuff like toilet paper available to city residents where they don't need a car.

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

I was actually a bit sad when I visited because I know my late son would have loved watching the cars and trucks go under the building. I'm also a racing fan who likes just watching cars go, so I found it kind of zen.

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

One annoying thing about that bus lane was they kept the ability to turn left out of Pumphouse Rd. from the right lane, so I always forgot the bus lane was there and had to bail quickly. Making that right lane right turn only would have kept at least some cars out of it.

It's the same - 3 lanes in either direction. Looks a bit smaller without all the traffic you're used to seeing. https://maps.app.goo.gl/AJvppivTahhe8wzTA

    "Dirty Old Boston"

Man, that dusk shot of the Back Bay and the Longfellow looks so empty. I was born in '85, so many of those photos have an Uncanny Valley vibe to me, it looks sort of like the Boston I grew up knowing, but not quite. That's especially true for those photos at the Tea Party with the Traveler's...
