Suffolk Downs Redevelopment | East Boston/Revere

City Councillor Lydia Edwards has been taking an involved role in this redevelopment. In the tweet posted below, she says that the city will be requiring more 2 and 3 family housing. This seems to suggest that the overall height and density will be limited, at least on the outer edges of the...

    archBOSTON Update: A New Dawn

I'm wondering, will the "small projects" threads be broken up, or will we be able to track them individually under their own location? I understand the need to declutter the number of threads, but I'm also thinking that may not be necessary with improved forum software and (I assume) a separate...

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

TransitMatters affiliates and other activists are accusing the administration of heavily sandbagging these numbers. The story goes that, especially with recent regulations on trainsets lifted (therefore allowing purchase of European designs), the price per car should be ~2.5 million. We can also...

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Alon Levy has a blog post skeptical about the current plans for West Station. His thesis is that the station is trying to do too many different things at once, and therefore fails at its core purpose. I think he makes some good points but I have a few questions. He suggests getting rid of the...

I love that they're optimistically showing 212 Stuart St. I dug up this article from December 2018 which says that it's won further approvals from local orgs, but it looks like the lawsuit is still unresolved? Will be interesting to see if this proposal meets the same fate.

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

Thanks for the update, passed by these sites often when walking to Coolidge Corner. These units were only possible under the state's 40B law. For context, Brookline permitted only 21 units in all of 2018, in a city of >60,000, according to SOCDS housing data.
