I hadn't quite remembered what this would look like, so when I first saw that reddish cladding I got very excited imagining 300' of that. Now that some of the beige has been added I went back to review the renders and can't help but be disappointed. It sure is a monster for the area though...

According to the FAA map that parcel could go about 775-785' above sea level, or maybe about 750' above the ground at most. No chance of a new tallest there, but it could at least be the first 700'+ tower outside of the Back Bay. http://ialp.airplanonline.com/PublicBOSP.aspx

It looks like they're dropping the initial proposal from 700' to about 500'. That will make 5 buildings of nearly equal height within the same skyline "blob" surrounding North Station. Kind of disappointing to be honest. It's like a redux of the North Station residential downgrade.

Do all these rates include fees and taxes? It always ends up being way more than the original listings.

Is there a better place for offices than directly above the busiest train station in New England? They'll find tenants. Let's take that garage across the street that's currently proposed as a squat lab and change that to a 600'+ residential. That makes a lot more sense than trying to retrofit...
