Potential Exelon Mystic Station Redevelopment | Everett

Working hard to gather public support! "[Sen DiDomenico] said the process began several months ago when there was talk about a soccer stadium development on a decommissioned power plant site in Everett. “Now we have the opportunity to turn the page on an industrial site and bring something to...

Potential Exelon Mystic Station Redevelopment | Everett

"Everett representatives are pushing to revive the measure this Legislative year on behalf of the city. State Sen. Sal DiDomenico, D-Everett, has pledged to file a separate bill that would move along construction of a soccer stadium and waterfront park along the Mystic River."...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

I'm a little worried about which design direction they'll go for here. With Encore across the street, I'm imagining they'll go faux-chic - lots of curvy bronze glass - like what's being designed out in Reno at the Grand Sierra Resort. What I'd LOVE is if they focused on keeping the...

Suffolk Downs Redevelopment | East Boston/Revere

I guess it was always there, it just was hidden by more interesting design concepts. It's still a central pillar of the neighborhood though... Will be hard to obscure that cheap of a build, but I guess the Cheerleader Effect is real...

MBTA Red Line / Blue Line Connector

Was struggling a little bit to see where all these proposed connections fit together. Looks like the current garage door turns into the stairway/tunnel? EDIT: PS - Count me in for that Parquet floor!

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Because we're here to talk about the ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN DESIGN... what does an MLS stadium look like?

Suffolk Downs Redevelopment | East Boston/Revere

Really disappointing lack of effort on the first building. Even Assembly and Ink Block started with higher quality materials and designs to allow for good placemaking, and then the later "filler buildings" aren't as nice. This looks like on-sale vinyl siding, and barely an air-sealed building...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

FIFA publishes it's "Stadium Guidelines." I'd assume the facility will meet the minimums to allow for international competitions. https://publications.fifa.com/en/football-stadiums-guidelines/technical-guideline/stadium-guidelines/stadium-guidelines-overview/ The MLS has a "Venue Design Guide"...

    Charlestown Infill and Small Developments

Well that's an interesting find. I wonder why the B&G club doesn't activate it as an entrance and instead leaves it for business parking spots...?

How deep does a planter box need to be to get a tree properly rooted?

Every game has a processional march from the North End? 1 if by land 2 if by sea?

    Silver Line to Chelsea

Sorry for bumping... Was thinking about the Silver line extension options. What ever happened to the Silver Line Way pilot findings? I never found the final decision, but can see that it was taken back out of use on googlemaps...

    Charlestown Infill and Small Developments

Not a Maura Healey voter? That building always had a lot of rats running around it... ;) PS - Love the proposed design

Hood Business Park | 480-570 Rutherford Avenue | Charlestown

Maybe I'm being greedy... but this neighborhood is in desperate need of a tower and not a parking garage to be its signature piece...

    Maxwell | 35 Garvey Street | Everett

Let the market decide? I think this is the second real large-scale neighborhood to be recreated in the close-in suburban ring after Assembly Row, but without the "luxury" perks. It's close enough to Boston you will get demand from both the city overflow and local interest. These real estate...

Everett Waterfront Redevelopment | 52 Beacham Street | Everett

Not sure where this goes... but apparently the Everett Gateway plaza just sold? I'd be excited but it went to a big-box retail REIT. More of the same on Everett waterfront property. https://www.bizjournals.com/boston/news/2023/11/02/framingham-shoppers-world-everett-real-estate.html

Union Square Somerville Infill and Small Developments

 If that's what we're choosing to be offended about today... yes a 399 SF existence is a little limiting to all, even Hong Kong (484SF avg).
