Green Line extension Newton to Needham

The trail advocates immediately forget that the situation is supposed to be temporary. Frosts my butt

Green Line extension Newton to Needham

To quote Spock, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I have personally observed that path on several occasions and never saw more than 50-60 users per hour

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

No. There are numerous lines that run 15 min service on single track

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

I can think of several ways to unnecessarily lengthen Springfield service;)

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

Transitmatters suggests that 90 min service would be feasible with RR, and people are forgetting that Springfield service could also serve as part of Worcester frequency upgrades

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

So we should just accept MBTA "slop ops"? That lines capacity should be at least 8tph

Green Line extension Newton to Needham

And a lot of the neighborhood LOVES having GL access. The apartments and condos built or being built along Needham Ave far outnumber the SFHs north of the track

    Crazy Transit Pitches

I advocated for this routing during the SL process. You needn't have a stop at Sullivan as you can do OL at Com College

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

The same mentality that justifies spending $5M to study and design a simple single platform station in Palmer

MBTA Red Line / Blue Line Connector

Do you have a cite for your assertion? A discussion with an admittedly junior official within the last three years says otherwise.

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

There is 8.5 miles of single track between Stony Brook and Nashua. A Nashua only run could be relatively cheap, as track upgrades and some bridge rebuild would be needed, but that 30 min service would not unduly tax the capacity. Signal upgrades will probably cost more. Three simple single...

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

This is the idea for Waltham!

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

CtDOT spends even more per station, so not the best justification. Our cost per station, north of 40M per, is keeping us from achieving RR. Just once, I would like to see a station built for the same money, adjusted for inflation, that the Fairmount ones were, or that Littleton was.

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

There is absolutely no reason for 800ft platforms anywhere on the North Side. Ridership doesn't come close to justify them. Even with RR, the increase in frequency means that each train would probably carry the same number of people, even with greatly increased ridership. And if the only...
