I keep forgetting to mention this, but the granite facade is finally being installed around the base. I pass by on the bus and can't get a good picture.

Boston - Most Embarrassing Blight That Tourists See

That would be University House of Pizza, or UHOP. Punter's is the diviest of dives, and though it has some charms, it is also (to be honest) a little sad to be in. But it's a miracle that it's stuck around for so long, and I'll miss it when it's gone.

    Reclaim South Bay

Besides additional damage to a historic park system that has borne the brunt of ill-conceived road construction for decades? Anyways- speaking of Charlesgate, I'd highly recommend checking out the Charlesgate Alliance, which is working to rethink the area with Landing Studio, the same group...

I am optimistic that the (hand-laid!) masonry will push this building to "above average".

    Green Line Reconfiguration

My (anecdotal) opinion is that the 39 does not have a capacity problem nearly as much as it has a bunching problem.

Yeah, thanks DZ! Second row of residence cladding is more or less complete. It looks really nice IMO.

I'm not sure if cloudy weather really sells them. I liked what I saw at sunset on Monday. We're also making a judgement off of less than one floor of facade- I was at the site yesterday and they're hard to see because they make up so little of the facade at this time (and are at least 300' off...

Glass has moved up onto the next level! Looks nice- too far away to get a decent picture, but I'll try to get closer tomorrow. It may have been the afternoon sun angle, but the metal insets were very bright. It will certainly draw attention.

Seriously, it's flying. I was skeptical that they'd be able to meet the pace they'd set on their website, but I'm happy to eat crow.

Fort Point already has a unique neighborhood character. On that note, given those renderings, I can't ever see this flying with the neighborhood groups.

It's pedantic, but technically the Pru's antenna isn't permanent. It has been replaced in the past and may very well be replaced again at some point. Old antenna: http://www.bc.edu/bc_org/avp/cas/fnart/fa267/20_sky3.html

Forms are up again; now at nine floors above the mechanical/transfer floor. The facade (including, for the first time, vents) has started to rise again on the SW side. I don't have good photos- sorry.
