I do like the bronze building. The metallic shingles going up on the other are much more coppery and clash horribly with the existing facade. I'm hoping there will be some street trees or other foliage to cover it up.

My understanding is that it's important to maintain the D for the Green Line because the Riverside yard is absolutely necessary for the entire GL system. I'm sure F-Line or another of our transit systems experts could speak to it more.

I love the paint job but I'm also just glad to see the building taken care of- it's one of only 4 cast-iron buildings in the city.

Facade is being installed on the lowest of the remaining floors as of this afternoon. Visible from Boylston.

If I had to guess- I'd say it was some combination of installing the facade support system on the upper levels (which seems to have been a bit more complex than the system below) and the recent inclination for poor weather.

I live within sight of this project and see it basically every day. Though it is a Samuels project, and I normally have good expectations for their work, I'm not pleased with how this is turning out. The red facade is particularly egregious and looks like cheap plastic.
