You've been busy, DZ! Thanks to you and BeeLine for these photos. I had my doubts, but they're sticking to their schedule. This is absolutely past 400' now.

Per the update, they're aiming to be on the 48th floor by the end of March. That's a floor approximately every 5 days- it'll be interesting to see if they can stick to that schedule.

Thus far, this reads as two buildings more often than I would have expected. That might be for the better; it really does lord over the immediate area.

Regarding the Muddy River, it's worth noting that its flood/water capacity of the river has been (and will continue to be) greatly improved by the ongoing restoration project. -Phase 1 daylighted the portions in front of the Landmark Center and by the old jughandle. -Phase 2 will dredge...

It would appear that work has resumed. Forms have been raised and the crane was operating as of this morning.

I feel better about this one now, though I will miss the cantilevers.

Seconded that single cars are common on the E at night and Sundays. I've only seen a single 7 once or twice ever- I really think it's a situation the T would like to avoid as much as possible.

Yesterday

The top of 2 International Place has also been illuminated in red and green for the holiday season. I'm hoping that it's due to permanent, color-changing LEDs and not a temporary installation- it looks quite nice. Along with 1 Financial, it's nice to see the skyline get a little nighttime pop...

!!! I was looking at the photo below when it dawned on me that the chamfered columns may be a reference to the colonnade building. If that's the case... hats off.

Better to take the time to do the job right, I think. I'm really pleased with how this is coming together. Also of note- the row of columns between the forms and the truss floors are the first with the diagonal chamfer. It's rather subtle, but absolutely noticeable from up close.

35 S Huntington seems to position their retail space as restaurant space in their filing documents with the city, which makes sense given the placement of Wok N' Talk next door. I'd kill for a cafe there, to be honest. Not sure about Serenity. To be honest, their space feels kind of awkwardly...

If I remember correctly from a recent Globe article, 23k units of the 53k goal have been built/permitted/approved.

Upward movement has resumed over the last two days- the core is now visible above the rest of the tower, and the forms have climbed on the SE side. Should be more consistent from here on out.

The moment of truth is coming re: the facade. I really hope it lives up to expectations.
