One Harbor Shore Dr. | Fan Pier Parcel H | 1 Harbor Shore Drive | Seaport

……because the only people staying in hotels are business travelers? Some of those corporate expense accounts folks look awfully young and old - even like little kids and grandparents. .........and feeds the coffers of the city of Boston, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Convention...

Residential Building | 75 First Street | Cambridge

The fever has broken on the 10 year US treasury bond yields (albeit from highs of last year) - - the momentum down should continue soon with Jerome Powell's first of, probably, a series of .25% fed cuts beginning at the next meeting in 3 weeks. My guess is that this developer is a sign of the...

Why is the fight between residential and hotels??????? As long as it's EITHER of those, it means more humanoids populating the city 24/7 and creating more 24/7 economy of restaurants, theatres, museums, stores, etc (and a safer environment with less nightime ghost town islands). Residential...

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

I don't like this building and mourn the loss of the old one, but was that really necessary?

It still won't happen at that height. The North Enders will kill it if it's above 320-350'. The best possibility for 700'ers would be Rappaport City (The West End Park).

North Station Gateway | 251 Causeway St | Bulfinch Triangle

".......The Project Site currently includes an approximately 143,000-square-foot office building, an approximately 56,000-square-foot office building, and a six (6) unit residential apartment building. The office buildings are almost totally vacant, and efforts to re-tenant them have not been...

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

Very similar to that Holocaust Museum going up across the street from the Common and Park Street Church. Mayor Wu and the BPDA need to need to look out for the city better than this. Maybe we'll get an Apple Store next to the Paul Revere House.

I don't know what you're talking about. I just got $419.90/night for a couple of nights next month downtown at the Marriott Custom House Tower. And I didn't even look very hard - - just dialed into Expedia today.

From the render, it looks like the roof is taken up by solar panels.

Holocaust Museum Boston | 125 Tremont Street | Downtown

+1. Exactly. And this spot is directly across from Park Street Church. On it's own, it may be fine, but it's simply the wrong place contextually for a white spaceship.

I was originally happy to see this news.....and then I read to link which said this is Anwar Faisal's project. Oh, God no!!!!!! https://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/2013/12/31/anwar-faisal-worst-landlord-boston/...

Yeah, that was my reaction to Camberville's post too. Just from the recent pics, I see three (Opening soon early 2025) signs in the street/patio level windows there - George Howell, Pink Carrot and Avra. I'm sure there are more.

Holocaust Museum Boston | 125 Tremont Street | Downtown

I'm all for this kind of building in Kendall Square or in Allston/Brighton. But HERE, it is like dropping a dollop of yogurt in chicken soup. There is a contextual value in being a good architectural neighbor. Boston loses something when this happens.

Holocaust Museum Boston | 125 Tremont Street | Downtown

Did you see what's replacing it? I agree with you about the faux historicism of that current building - - but size/wise and style wise - it played well with it's neighbors. The replacing white cube with few windows is an obnoxious architectural neighbor. I'm good with replacing that building...

One for two! “ Pre-war“ is a fact. “Nice enough” is the opinion. And, nope, I don’t share it. Perhaps it has a “good personality”? :ROFLMAO:

    15-25 Harrison Ave | Chinatown

Unless its been fixed up since the October 2023 Google, I don't share your opinion of that current building. It looks dull and decrepit to me. Unless it has historical significance, I hope it gets replaced by this hotel quickly...

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

I'm showing someone around Boston in mid-September (staying at the Marriott Custom House Tower) and would really hope this street to be "back online" by then - - -but am not holding my breath.

South Boston Infill and Small Developments

Yes!!!!! HUGE upgrade architecturally and usage-wise. We seem to be seeing more and more small, incremental upgrade plans with housing and street level activation the past few months. There seems to be a low level gathering momentum. What it's replacing (the Re-Max building, not the nail...
