    Gillette leaving Southie.

https://www.bostonglobe.com/2024/08/21/business/gillette-fort-point-campus-development/ (btw, the Globe is using a VERY old picture here...) "The Seaport and Fort Point Channel have changed dramatically over the last decade. Next up for redevelopment could be Gillette's 31-acre campus at the...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

No. A office space is still in demand. It's the B and C buildings that are getting ghosted. The B's and C's should be retrofitted are perhaps demolished/replaced with residential towers. It will eventually happen - - it just depends on how long people want to wait and lose money dallying.

    Gillette leaving Southie.

I'm not sure that 50% will actually be "corporate lawns" though. Their wording is "public realm/open space" - - that could be interpreted as 'massive waterfront plaza' or Harborwalk boardwalk', 'concert tent/amphitheatre', etc - - that location (with the great skyline smack dab in front of it)...

All good. No prob with attacking a post. Just no need for personal attacks, ok.

It was in jest - - as I said in that last line (that you, obviously chose to ignore in your last post) "no person in their right mind would think it was serious". Put down the boxing gloves, relax, and enjoy a cold drink, Killah. Seems you were spoiling for a fight this afternoon. Whatever...

Wow. Going personal. Will try to not to make eye contact with the angry person. So you're saying anyone not living locally, currently, is not entitled to an opinion here. Nice. (and by the way, the post was made in jest - - no person in their right mind would think "a heaping pile of...

I'm absolutely speechless. This is perhaps my favorite humanizing urbanizing/placemaker building since Rowes Wharf. Utterly spectacular, efficient and inventive use of space for people who love CITIES. Hell, even just on the streetside of this thing are 4 public transpo upgrades. 1)...

Hopefully, with all those factors, added in with decreasing interest rates soon (watching the Fed starting next month), progress on this fundamentally important goal can begin in earnest soon. The interest rate scenario seems to be the only missing piece at this point.

WHat is it about these tanks and the smokestacks that a few people on this forum believe are so unique? These things exist in hundreds of the most pedestrian cities and towns all over the world. The world famous tourist magnet Homer City, PA has the tallest smokestack. Hell, St Louis, which...
