I tried again in Chrome, still couldn't do it . Then I opened in Microsoft Edge and saw a button, lower left, for 3D view, and presto, like you said, I could rotate like in Earth. WTF Google ;) Thanks !!!

Here's an image from Google Earth to illustrate what I want (and my problem with Google Maps). I want to orient the image to tell the story I want in my silly YouTube videos. Can you get the image positioned this way in Google Maps?

My experience has been different. I find Google Maps very frustrating. I can move around the satellite view in Google Maps but I can't rotate! CX is best understood South-North, not East-West IMO. Maybe I'm on the wrong Google Maps? If so, please post a link! Also, what I can do in Google...
