Route 1 Project - Malden, Revere, Saugus

The guy who drank with Reagan and called Ronnie “his friend?” Strange way to show that you have the right priorities. Tip and the Gip are both hopefully in a warmer place right now.

Route 1 Project - Malden, Revere, Saugus

I’ve always felt that the Alewife extension was just lip service that the wealthy elites in Cambridge and Somerville came up with in the 1980’s. It’s “here’s a compromise and a half-assed interchange at Alewife Brook, and we don’t care about the upkeep of that intersection and Red Line. As long...

Route 1 Project - Malden, Revere, Saugus

I’m beginning to see a pattern with wealthy elites who live in Boston and don’t want outsiders. Must go back to the Colonial-era. No, I think that a middle ground could’ve been met - and could still be met’- regarding Route 1. Hopefully some headway is made on these initiatives.

Route 1 Project - Malden, Revere, Saugus

This should be in “crazy transit pitches” but what about burying Route 1 from Lynnfield to Saugus? Bury Route 1 and build a boulevard above?

West Cambridge / Alewife Area Infill & Small Developments

Lots of TOD. Some additional bike lanes. Call me crazy but I’m seeing everything but roadway improvements to Alewife Brook/Fresh Pond Parkway(s). Did the T repair the columns inside the Alewife Garage? Are we going to have a multi million dollar renovation of Alewife Station? Or are we just...

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

My summer gig involves working load in/load out for Live Nation (IATSE #11). The venue itself is so depressing and so many missed opportunities for a Commuter Rail station and TOD. The people that I work with are fine. The concerts are a blast. The venue is just…bleh. Definitely missed...

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

I don’t know if it’s fair to use Lucas Oil Stadium as canon folder for NFL Stadiums that are located within city cores. Nor would I classify stadiums are “tourist draws.” Fenway? Absolutely a tourist draw. TD Garden? Not so much. It’s a matter of convenience and modern amenities for the fans...

Took a detour home this afternoon. Station One beer garden looks complete and the building behind it is progressing.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

My dad used to take me to Lars Anderson in Brookline whenever they would have Studebaker meets. My dad’s first car was a 57 Packard.

I’m a fan of nostalgia but also progress. Chain restaurants aside, you still have The Fours and West End Johnnie’s. The Penalty Box wouldn’t fly in that area today. 1) It would look out of place amongst the new buildings. 2) It’s not a welcoming atmosphere.

I never said that it was. I agree on Betts and Bogaerts and FSG’s commitment to the team.
