    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

I am glad myself. I go to the BSC and it's run down and not super clean. It will be good to have another option.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Is that giant blank white wall the final facade material?

Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

I'd like to see a view of what it looks like inside looking out through those fins.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I'm glad that it's being built, but it's really...boring. I wish they would have had some varying mullion sizes at select areas or different glazing patterns. Its just all one spacing and size all the way up the facade.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I found a typical plan, it's a fairly large core.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Perhaps it is the perspective, but that tower floor plate seems so small compared to the core.

Metropolitan Storage Warehouse Redevelopment/Renovation (MIT) | 134 Mass. Ave | Cambridge

As long as it is sealed at the perimeter the argon will still perform, whether horizontal or vertical. The issue I can see is the transition where it changes from horizontal to vertical. I'm not sure how that butt joint would be addressed, but I would guess that it would just be a high strength...

Metropolitan Storage Warehouse Redevelopment/Renovation (MIT) | 134 Mass. Ave | Cambridge

I'm very interested in how this will ultimately be detailed out. What material is separating the two window systems? How can this be flashed without looking sloppy? I get why they need the new windows for the program, but this is very odd to me. I'm a bit surprised it was approved by the...

One Harbor Shore Dr. | Fan Pier Parcel H | 1 Harbor Shore Drive | Seaport

It seems like it will be similar to the raised "boardwalk" that currently exists on the opposite side of the park. It's actually a really nice space where I sometimes go sit at lunch in the warmer months. It's always packed so the added seating will be used.

    Those monthly HOA fee's, YIKES

Dick’s House of Sports | Prudential Center | Back Bay

I know it's not directly off of mass transit, but the Seaport has a number of bar/restaurant/activity concepts now. How affordable and family friendly they are is debatable, but there is a bowling alley, dart club, ping bong bar and now mini golf. It's pretty fun.

Lab Building (née Hotel Hampshire) | 34-40 Hampshire St. | Cambridge

That definitely looks a lot better than the previous iteration, but it's pretty disappointing that there is nothing but a blank white wall at the ground level on a fairly busy corner. I'm surprised Cambridge allowed this.

Foundation Medicine (Parcel P) | 400 Summer Street | Seaport

It's going to be interesting how those two systems will meet at the corner.

401 Park Drive (née Landmark Center) | Fenway

The Alamo Draft House is actually going into the former Icon theater in the Seaport. They have a big "coming soon" banner in the window now.

Maybe it's in another thread that I have not seen, but is there a plan for the old Lechmere triangle shaped site?

    Union Square D6 | Somerville

Losing Ricky's Flower Market will be rough. I know it's an old gas station and rickety old brick building, but it's quirky. I'm a fan of adding density in Union Square, it needs it, and so many of the old crappy one story spaces on Somerville Ave need to be replaced, but I wish the new buildings...
