    Channelside (née P&G) | 244-248 A Street | Fort Point

I do think we need to rethink the commons, especially in a city that is submerged in 3 feet of tundric ice* for four months of the year. Why not have more indoor public spaces, or public spaces with permanent programming (like interactive sculptures) that will have meaning even when sparsely...

Hotel Buckminster Renovation | Brookline Ave & Beacon St | Kenmore Square (Fenway)

I'm only onboard if the Popeye's comes back.

It was so bad that it had a wait list.

The hotel looks terrible but the rest looks nice?

MIT SoMa Building 2 | 200 Main Street | Kendall Square

Didn't they just renovate the affordable housing at around 270 Green st a few years ago? That was completely concrete.

It is, IMO, a serious shame that they didn't renovate and expand the building into mixed use rather than completely tear it down.

MIT Museum/Book Store | née Boeing | 314 Main St. | Kendall Square

Wow, that's freakin' awesome. This was already the best new building in the area, but now it's the crown jewel ;). Incidentally (maybe I should inquire in the New Retail thread), but does anyone know what's happening with the retail at sites 3/4?

    585 Kendall | 585 Third Street | Kendall Square

I mean, I'm not really asking for a lot here. I think 3-4 dedicated floors would be enough, which would still leave 11-12 floors here for dedicated lab space right here. This is a 2 floor difference which would be huge for arts programming and comparatively minor for the lab space.

    585 Kendall | 585 Third Street | Kendall Square

I am glad it is being run by a reputable organization. My cynicism is based on the fact that Kendall is, and continues to be, a densely populated area with no life, and insatiable demand for lab space. The city could have demanded more dedicated space for the arts in this particular parcel...

    585 Kendall | 585 Third Street | Kendall Square

I still say this sham of a theaterspace is way too small. At its size it will be underused rather than the weekly or daily attraction it could be.

I wonder if any of the Enterprise campus will be dedicated to this expansion for now.

MIT East Campus - Kendall Square Gateway | Cambridge

That is a HUGE road for that purpose! Look how wide it is! My god, will it also have parking, a bikepath, and a dedicated central buslane??

MIT East Campus - Kendall Square Gateway | Cambridge

I'm confused - why have such a big - or any - road there?

MIT SoMa Building 2 | 200 Main Street | Kendall Square

Oh no, did they get rid of all the cool under-the-cantilever lighting?
