Bostonian here, I agree with you but I also like the view from the pike when I'm coming back home so I sort of get it. The thing is, if anybody, especially on this board, bitches about the view from the pike they should never ever get to say a bad word about NIMBYS because they are one.

I agree but what if many retail storefronts sit empty for years and years? Wont they be forced to accept lower rents?

Red Sox tickets these days are an entirely different animal than Celtics, Bruins or Patriots. Sox are super cheap and the others are generally insanely high (Patriots lately have been cheaper)

I think you're getting too bogged down in minutiae here. Hotel guests fall out the front door onto Newbury and Boylston st its hard not to describe that as the heart of back bay. And yes of course its marketing jargon what else would it be?

That plaza was underutilized and created a dead zone on boylston. 888 is no architectural gem but its far more engaging with the street now with a nice plaza and 2-3 restaurants with patios in the summer. The city is not worse off for it- you may want to realize you're in a very, very small...

Flower Exchange is completely stalled and was awaiting approval for the connection to frontage road.
