Oh wow. I guess I pre-judged based on the windows which, honestly, look pretty modern. Thank you for the context. I rescind my snarky comment.

Can someone from Salem explain how this enormous landscaper storage facility got built on prime waterfront property? I'm guessing it went something like this: Land owner: "We'd like to put some luxury condos on this prime waterfront property." NIMBYs: "Are you nuts?!! This city is already over...

    Ode to Brutalism

I really like Stewart Hicks. not sure why he is doing these sort of gimmicky, wink wink videos now. This is the second one I've seen him do. Probably trying to appease the YiouTube algorithm like everyone else I guess. Edit: OR he could genuinely think they are funny and I am just being a...

The Ipswich | 2 Charlesgate West | Fenway

You could be right, and I can appreciate that if true, but a giant photo of another city's public art is kind of sad.

    Grounding the McGrath

Are we sure they are still doing this? Some of new infrastructure they have recently changed on the flyover looks pricey and permanent.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I still like it but it really needed to be at least either 30% narrower or 30% taller.

Oh. For some reason I thought I remembered seeing a rendering with it exposed.

I wasn't sure about leaving that little bit of the old garage exposed, but I think it's going to look nice!

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

You know what would be great on the Greenway? A museum/cultural center run by Historic New England. A place to show off their amazing collection of artifacts to the widest possible audience. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2023/06/29/arts/historic-new-england-plans-major-expansion/ Oh, Haverhill...

I wonder if it is designed so that it can be easily covered in the off chance of eventual electrification.
