    Lobby Renovation/Addition | 175 Federal Street | Financial District

I agree, biut the good news it that it all very easily reversible. It's not like they are ripping out old growth timbers or smashing hand carved masonry. So hopefully someday a future owner will come to their senses and put it back to way it is today.

That's actually a good question. At some point they will have enough new trains in service to start permanently retiring old sets. I wonder if the T has any kind preliminary timeline for that.

Renovations to BPL's Johnson Wing | Back Bay

Thanks stellar! I can't imagine how much they could even be allowed to do to the McKim building beyond restoration work. That must be one of the most protected post-colonial buildings in Boston.

I may have been wrong about that, but some reason I thought I had read that due to the wider doors they have room for fewer seats. It seemed like there were fewer seats, but I am open to correction on that.

New Red and Orange Line Cars

I got the new train this morning! Thoughts: The new plastic seats seem 'slippery' compared to the old cloth seats, but they have oddly great lumbar support. The doors chimes that I was worried about are far less annoying than I thought. I was able to tune them out by the second stop. As someone...

Mmmm... Pizza (Discuss Your Favorite Slice)

Are we not mentioning Regina's because it's generally understood to be the best pizza in Boston or are we doing the hipster, nose-in-air, "Askually, Regina's is very over-rated" thing? I'll admit the the chain pizza isn't as good as the original location stuff but it's still a lot better than...
