Given Eagle Hill's proximity to overflight from 15/33, a tower of this scale would be a non-starter in East Boston. I like the design. It would look pretty cool on the recently sold Gillette property.

In form, scale, and style, I’m not troubled by this project. It looks like the developers actually hired an architect. That said, I imagine some abutters will dislike it for some (or all) of the same reasons.

One Boston Place is our Seagrams Building, spare, austere, and purposeful. It’s a brilliant backdrop for the Old State House, as countless photographers will tell you. Pietro Belluschi was a master architect, and this is his best work in town.
