The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Yeah Avalon North looks pretty ordinary to say the least. I'm afraid Bulfinch Crossing Residential will be similalrly unimpressive. I guess they can't all be like MT, 1 Dalton, or TD Garden.

Always wondered this...is MT and Winthrop Center designed by the same Millenium Partners company?

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Its not great, but its not that bad. Could have been a lot uglier.

We mostly agree regarding Philly, Boston, and DC. Chicago is certainly "the 2nd city" in terms of impressiveness. Even LA feels smaller than Chicago. But LA still feels pretty big. Boston is probably a more vibrant city than all but a few in the US. It certainly world class in all respects...

I'll try to clarify what I meant. Everyone knows NYC's stats (biggest, most densely populated, most skyscrapers, tallest skyline, etc). The city rarely ever sleeps en masse. My experiences in Boston and Philly are admittedly sparse (spent 3 days in Boston, 1 in Philly) but I've lived in Chicago...

Well NYC and Boston are the two largest cities north of NJ...there is also some form of rivalry between the two as well. Of course outside of LA and possibly Chicago, no city is a virtual equal of NYC but both Boston and NYC are elite east coast cities. In many regards, Boston is a minature...

Whoa...are they starting on the office building already??? Haha, Boston construction is so slow I thought it would be a year between completeion of the residential tower and start of the office tower, lol.

Is this building a residential tower?

I must apologize. I actually know very little about urbanism/development so I am probably just parroting a lot of stuff I've read here. And although I was born in Boston, I only lived there for 2 or 3 short months, visited only twice thereafter, and only recently become a fan of the city. So I...

I'm from Nashville, and forget NYC, I doubt Music City has as much red tape as Boston does when it comes to building anything remotely tall.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

This building is a gem from all angles. Its probably the 2nd best looking tower downtown after MT, in my opinion.

So this is definitely u/c now, right? Any idea how long before it starts going vertical...6 months? Closer to 12?

I don't know what people are complaining about vis a vis looks. This tower looks pretty good. And its tall. Get it up, I say!

[CANCELED] 1000 Boylston Street | MassDOT Parcel 15 | Back Bay

I really don't think a 600 footer vs a 500 footer would make much difference in this area. Yeah if it was something massive like 1000' it would be awesome and revolutionize the skyline. But 544' basically makes it the same size as 111 Huntington and kinda on the opposite side. So from many...
