Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Just before my parents moved to Fenway then. So thats what the Back Bay looked like when they lived there. What is that black cubed building on Huntington? Thats not there anymore is it? Looks like it was torn down and 111 went up in its place...

So its really 756' and not 742 as widely reported? Beats the Pru by one Robert Parish.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

The downtown buildings make stuff like the Back Bay Marriott, Crown Plaza look tiny. After the Back Bay big 4 of 200 clarendon, Pru, 1 Dalton, 111 Huntington, I think the Marriott/Crown Plaza are the next tallest buildings in that neighborhood. My guess would be they are around 450' or 135 meters.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Man those Back Bay high rises look quite tall in person and just in Back Bay skyline pics. But when you have the panoramas with downtown/FD, it makes them look tiny. Some of those buildings are 35-38 stories tall and they look tiny!

Yeah I have a friend in CT (don't know which part) and they use JFK. Of course they used to live in NYC before. But I am pretty sure they are closer to JFK than to BOS. That might explain it.

I guess you're right. I don't like CSA's though because thats a little too broad. I feel like MSA's are a more accurate representation of a city's size. Boston ranks 10th there, and will probably fall to 12th by 2030 given how fast some of the other metro areas are growing. However I would...

Awesome to hear about KLM. BOS now gets pretty much all the major world carriers if you think about it. The only major airlines missing would be Air China, Aeroflot, China Southern, China Eastern, Singapore, Qantas, and maybe South African Airways (or Ethiopian or Kenya to get one from every...

Thanks for the welcome, fattony. Apologies for the gaffe. Will keep it in mind going forward. I had been waiting for like 4 months to get approved for posting and was checking these forums daily. The really weird thing is, I was not at all interested in architecture (I'm still not), and...

How tall is this one supposed to be exactly? Is this the taller of the 2 towers going up?

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District I hope they don't make this a bulky building. 691' is tall enough for boston (tallest in downtown) but if its bulky it will detract from it. Also Millenium Tower is a very pretty building, the renders for this look a lot less attractive.

How Tall Are Boston's Buildings and Should They Be Taller?

A single 1000' supertall would really enhance the downtown/financial district skyline. With 1 Dalton, Boston has 20 buildings of 150+ meters, which ranks behind NYC, Chicago, Miami, Houston, LA, and San Francisco. Tied with Dallas I think. Boston therefore has a decently-large-but-not-massive...

List of tallest buildings in Back Bay

I was wondering if anyone can give me a list showing how tall the tallest buildings in the Back Bay are? Maybe the top 10 or better yet top 15 buildings. I am essentially from Nashville and we have a growing skyline here and I just wanted to compare it to Back Bay's. So far I have: 1) 200...
