Gonna lock this for a little bit to cool you fools down.

    ISQ3 | 22 Drydock Avenue | Seaport

Boston (and Bostonians) have always compared themselves to NYC. It's stupid. They are two different places (with a lot in common). But especially the penis envy has to stop.

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

Checking out OpenRailwayMap, it also seems like the simplest solution is to just run off the Downeaster route, or if we are getting crazy, extend the Haverhill Line (or some version using the Lowell Line).

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

I'm not thinking about commuters, I'm thinking about the tourists! Portsmouth was hopping. It's right next to Maine as well, so there'd surely be demand.

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

I was just up in Portsmouth for the first time in almost 20 years and I began to wonder why, specifically, the Newburyport Line hasn't been extended up there yet?

Holocaust Museum Boston | 125 Tremont Street | Downtown

That looks really nice and will anchor that edge of the Common nicely.

Watertown Mall Redevelopment | 550 Arsenal Street | Watertown

That massing isn't bad, but those buildings have ZERO character and will bring nothing to that space.

Mission Hill Infill and Small Developments

I think you and I have very different definitions of what a "dump" is.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

See, you can beat NIMBYs. You just have to wait for them to die. The stated reason was traffic. Also, the station in Arlington...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

That fun little conversation about DZ's pictures has been moved here. I suggest that if you don't appreciate someone's posts, feel free to ignore them.

City Hall Plaza Revamp | Government Center

I mean, I think it's a great building for sure. But that is still one of the worst public spaces in the city.

Harriet Tubman House | 566 Columbus Avenue | South End

If we still did the archBoston awards I'd nominate this for Best New Development.

    Golf Course Redevelopment

You can literally make the same argument about land preserves, forests, and large parks. It's a strawman argument that just ends up sounding classist. Fight against capped FAR limits next to transit stations, not this.

Photo of the Day, Boston Style: Part XVII (2023)

I see this all the time. Just an owner who isn't taking care of his property.

    Golf Course Redevelopment

Going after golf courses is one of the most eye rolling "hills to die on" for Twitter YIMBYs. If they sell the land, redevelop it. But we have these things called stairs and elevators to solve our housing crisis.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Do we actually know this is about contamination? Or is it simply the perceived backlash from environmental groups?
