    Green Line Type 10 Procurement

That thing would look so silly going 3 MPH down Comm ave lol A lot of these smooth "futuristic" designs invoke a sense of speed that the Green line just doesn't have in my mind. It's a freakin trolley for the most part. I might just be pro-boxy

The Beacon | 819 Beacon St. | Fenway

Perhaps it's calling it a "plaza" that I'm hung up on. It's really a courtyard. The article you even says "A good plaza starts at the street corner." It needs movement and crossings that are natural to the public realm. This is just an isolated pocket within it's own block that a few residents...

The Beacon | 819 Beacon St. | Fenway

Both of the "plazas" seem very private to me and not successfully urban. There's no connection through/over them - they just dead-end into the residential entrances. This new plan does better at creating an edge along Beacon and breaks down the scale well enough. But it lost some of the more...

Middlesex County Courthouse Redevelopment | 40 Thorndike St | East Cambridge

I believe it's losing 2 floors, going from 22 to 20. This was a change made way back in 2014 though, so not sure why it's coming up again.

    Green Line Type 10 Procurement

I actually really like the Type 9s we got. The front glass is one big curved panel instead of a tiny set of windows with thick pillars. The original proposal is smoothed and rounded over a little too much imo. And lets be honest, attempts at aerodynamics for the Greenline are pretty moot anyway lol

    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

God, those panels look terrible. The pointy pergola is terrible. The windows are terrible. Those random angled metal posts along the lower front corner are terrible. Absolutely a candidate for worst development of 202X once it finishes (and the awards actually get started up again here...)

Yeah, I'm still experiencing it. Only getting notifications from liked comments, not watched threads.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

..... You can see it protruding from the top, right between the cranes. And in the hundreds of photos taken in the past year on this forum clearly showing the core go up....

Same here. Been happening for a few weeks now.

    The Official MBTA System Map

This is great. My one complaint is that the Commuter line is pink and not purple.

Sooo... want any help with this?

Hurley Building Redevelopment | 19 Staniford St | West End

Hmmm I'm not exactly sure which area that's referencing. I'm talking about the corner plaza at the intersection of Staniford and Merrimac. The wording in the globe could reference that area, or the small sliver along Merrimac, or area inside the courtyard. Hopefully the former. It's too bad both...

Hurley Building Redevelopment | 19 Staniford St | West End

I couldn't care less about his legacy. But it's an architecturally significant building that's been neglected by the city (surprise). Clean and restore it, then reconfigure the Cambridge St side to be a real entrance. The Courthouse monstrosity was bad enough. I hope they don't ruin the block...

    Kendall/MIT Infill and Small Developments

I quite like the massing. But SANAA's presentation doesn't render the brick in any special way, so that's disappointing. The simple geometry could benefit from the exact kind of material play that Saarinen's chapel does so well. Something nice in the plan and interior theater rendering is the...

Well they ripped up the terrace so I suppose they're re-landscaping. All those nice mature trees gone...

    Gillette Stadium

Good points! I guess I don't doubt the ability of Gillette/Boston to host it necessarily. More so in the experience itself being less ideal with the commute out there. I don't have experience here because I don't watch soccer and have never been to the cup, so talking out my ass. But if I were...

MIT New 450-bed Residence Hall | 121 Vassar St. | Cambridge

I really like the awnings, despite them looking like cheese graters.

    Gillette Stadium

I don't think Airport -> Stadium times are super relevant because we would assume people would stay in the main city, no?
