Commonwealth Pier Revitalization (née Seaport WTC)| 200 Seaport Boulevard | Seaport

From Saturday. I had forgotten this was happening until suddenly there it was...

Gables Seaport (née Waterside Place 1B) | 505 Congress Street | Seaport

From Saturday. Wanted to share this intriguing 'peekaboo' perspective that really drew me to walk down this street on our Pokéwalk the other day. Just astounding how this once desolate view feels like it's actually in a place where people might exist. Also, I'm absolutely over the moon they...

Seaport Sq. Block N | 350 Summer Street | Seaport

From Saturday. Sorry, not construction porn, but I wanted to share these 'before' views as these buildings will significantly change Summer Street more than any of the buildings in the background... and yet many of these didn't even exist 5 or so years ago. As I mentioned in the Omni thread, I...

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

From Saturday. The new cladding is just peeking above the buildings around it.

401 Park Drive (née Landmark Center) | Fenway

First photo is from Friday. Second is from today. Looking forward to seeing how the new building complements/contrasts Landmark Center from this angle.

MGM Music Hall (née Fenway Theater) | 12 Lansdowne St | Fenway

From today. Building around what looks to be the main stage is starting to take shape.

Boston Arts Academy | 174 Ipswich Street | Fenway

From today. Photo 3 from Lansdowne St shows the school in context with its rising neighbor, the MGM Music Hall. The garage next door in the last photo is a poignant vestige of the area's extensive auto-oriented past (and present that still survives today in Fenway's remaining surface lots...

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

From today. For some reason, I hadn't really thought of how much this building would cover the Pike, but seeing the footings installed in the median really brought it home for me. This isn't visible at all from any perspective on Mass Ave or even Boylston St, so this really took me by surprise...

Omni Hotel @ BCEC | Summer St | Seaport

From Saturday Figured I'd share some detail views I haven't normally seen. Normally around this time, the whole area would be swarming with cosplayers and gaming nerds of all stripes attending the PAX East gaming convention (including myself) and it struck my partner and me just how much the...

Omni Hotel @ BCEC | Summer St | Seaport

When we railed on Massport about it years ago, the response was that the parking garage is also to help mitigate losses of parking revenue at the airport due to the advent of app-based taxis, so definitely an attempt to capitalize on parking demand from events. Hotel is looking solid.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

You're one platform/track pair over. I'm tempted to agree that could be a utility raceway? Also, it feels weirdly satisfying to see support beams installed on those foundation stumps that've been waiting there for decades...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I'm actually really happy with the trend of relegating brick pavers to sidewalk trim and ensuring they're permeable pavers, like on Boylston St in Fenway. I know that most brick these days ends up getting laid on top of a base layer of asphalt anyway to limit the amount of shifting that happens...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Looking at it more closely, I feel the distortion of the wide lens somehow emphasizes how this side of Causeway Street triggers a level of agoraphobia for me and I think it's specific to this corner. The crossing at Haverhill Street (bottom left corner) is disproportionately wide to the traffic...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

From last night. Still not totally down, but definitely looking a lot nicer!

Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

With the insulating wrap now on the building ahead of the glazing, you really get a feel for how this is filling in this really underutilized space. First two photos are from just a few minutes ago. Last one is from a few weeks ago. I'm gonna be kinda sad to see the old building go. I've built...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

From last Saturday. I'm really excited to see that parking garage slowly disappear as clading goes up...

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

Can someone explain a little more about what's going on here with the steel work? This looks more like the heavy steel structure in the original building than what I feel like I've seen in newer structures. I think it's specifically those slots to secure the cross-members that's making this look...

From last Saturday. This view of Blackstone St is going to look so different in a few years!

Boutique Hotel at 88 North Washington St | Bulfinch Triangle | West End

Yeah, I really liked getting to check out Ward 8 here this summer, but woof, it was impossible to have a quiet conversation at my table because of the traffic on North Washington and something about this corner made it uncomfortably windy the day we went. I'd also love to see the hotel concept...
