The Benjamin & VIA (née One Seaport Square) | Parcels B-C@Seaport Sq. | Seaport

Re: One Seaport Square | Parcels B-C@Seaport Sq. | Seaport There's arguments for and against centre-street cycle tracks, but the biggest issues are: how they resolve at the ends of your street how you get to and out of the cycle tracks as a bike rider I'm not entirely sure that DC has...

Renovations to BPL's Johnson Wing | Back Bay

There's an entrance open on Exeter Street and a long corridor of those movable dividers (visible at right in the last photo of my set) and translucent tarps that guide you from that entrance to the grand staircase at the centre of the Johnson Building. So you can't exactly wander freely around...

MassDOT Pike Parcels 12 - 15 | Boylston St. and Mass. Ave | Back Bay

Pike median work is wrapping up under this parcel: What's our timeline on development once this finishes?

As I understand, the T actually does have an existing ERP software that's practically dictated by FTA standards reporting/grant funding qualifications. It's definitely in use by the capital investment and planning department for tracking procurement, contracts, and expenses. I think this speaks...

The Benjamin & VIA (née One Seaport Square) | Parcels B-C@Seaport Sq. | Seaport

Re: One Seaport Square | Parcels B-C@Seaport Sq. | Seaport Sounds like Chestnut Hill's 'The Street', but less suburbanite playground. That said, I'm really looking forward to the execution here of the retail programming. Will it feel like Assembly Square's Downtown Disney-esque drive-to...

Additional off-ramps from I-93 are unnecessary and just add to the further convenience of driving directly to locations in transit-rich areas and is basically what Texas does - build transit and then expand roads to undermine the capital investment they just made in transit. It's fine the way...

We're so close to proving Godwin's law true...someone please keep egging him on about municipal structures.

Education First has fully moved over and it looks like there's a new anchor tenant in their old building: I have a sneaking suspicion that a thread exists for this, but I can't find it/I can't remember the name of the development: Activity on the parcel catty-corner from ZINC:

More from last hour: We have windmills: And the latest on the plaza: And I can't seem to find a thread related to general updates in the Back Bay, but it looks like the Pru makeover/whitewash has reached the entrance to 101 Huntington:

From earlier this hour - Starbucks renovation on Winter St is coming along nicely. They're stepping up their coffee game according to baristas at the recently refurbished 2nd floor coffee bar at the main Harvard Square store. They'll be offering pour over, french press, and siphon in addition to...

I'm determined to swing through Cambridge this evening and take a bunch of pics to re-rail this burning trash heap of a thread, but in the meantime... I think this sums up the absurd view of modern municipal government by a lot of older people who see computers as black boxes of electrical...

Plaza from last Saturday: I'll swing by in a bit and take a few more. Re: Quest Eternal - a resident asked that of the BP folks at the St Botolph St RA meeting. BP's reply was that they're still looking for an 'appropriate location' for the sculpture.

Wow, this thread really tanked. Increasing federal gridlock has made local government ever more important to be effective. If you're so disillusioned about their effectiveness or their need for the space, why don't you try having a meeting with the councilors yourself.

Scratch that, looks like something's going on at Portside phase II - there was concrete pouring going on yesterday morning (spotted it from the office, needed the binoculars to magnify...)

Nope - more roads begets more cars begets more congestion begets the detriment of the urban realm for all people and all other modes. No thanks. D Street can be achieved by simple light priority re-sequencing, all other vehicular traffic be damned. Come back to us about D Street Silver Line...
