Massachusetts State Flag (we need a better state flag)

It seems someone on reddit designed it: Here are some more that I've found online:

Massachusetts State Flag (we need a better state flag)

I found this one online a while back and I like what they're trying to do. I wouldn't mind going somewhere in this direction for the new flag.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

I've got a dumb question that maybe someone could answer. I was looking at the possible plans of a silver line extension to Everett and the possible branching off of the two lines around Sullivan Square. Would there also be a route that continued through Chelsea and eventually to South Station...

    Boston and the Homeless

If you look at this link, you'll see that the US does not have a very high homeless population compared to much of the world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_homeless_population I realize that there are a lot of poor, war-torn countries that have high numbers of homeless...

Industrial National Trust (Superman Building) | Downtown | Providence

You could always just drive through the state but not spend any money. That way you can add to the air pollution and traffic, but do nothing for their economy :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    Laconia, NH

It's stunning. I have to wonder why they wouldn't consider using it as a cinema on nights it doesn't have a big show.

    Gillette Stadium

Instead of using Gillette, couldn't they use Alumni Stadium at BC? Sure, it's smaller but it's right on the green line and it would be easy for fans to reach the game by public transit.

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

Billerica (along with Tewksbury and Wilmington) have been "red" for as long as I remember. Growing up in Billerica (I was born in 78), I remember Republicans outnumbering Democrats by a significant margin. I also remember the last few elections went to the GOP presidential candidate. However, in...

    Woburn Village Redevelopment | Woburn

Growing up in Billerica, I remember being amazed at the similarities. From what I do remember, as the Billerica Mall started to go down hill, the Woburn Mall stayed strong a bit longer. Woburn was also willing to make necessary changes to keep the mall viable. In Billerica, for years, they had...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

Sorry for derailing the thread. You're right about St. Andrews - it's a gorgeous church in one of the more interesting neighborhoods. When I was a kid, we were always told to stay out of that neighborhood. One time I was jogging with my crossing country team down Wilson street and a bunch of...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

I remember a lot of my friends parents came from Somerville. My parents were from out of state, but prior to living in Billerica, they were in Melrose. In the 70s, Billerica (and surrounding towns) had lots of cheap land and my parents bought our house on 5/8 acre for $39000. In today's dollars...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

Years ago when I was growing up in Billerica, that hack writer Howie Carr wrote an insulting piece about my hometown calling it "Somerville with trees" among other things. For years you could buy bull's eyes in town with Howie's face in it. Nowadays, I wish Billerica was more like Somerville...

Two Congress | Bulfinch Crossing East Parcel | West End

Thanks. Let's look at what we're losing and what we're gaining here: Losing: "Iconic" retail (whatever the hell that means) Hotel/Condo Boutique Office Gaining Lab space Ground floor retail I'm not all that bothered about losing the office or the "iconic" retail, but the loss of the hotel...

Two Congress | Bulfinch Crossing East Parcel | West End

Please help me to clarify. The residential tower and One Congress are nearly complete. Will they still be building Residential Tower II? This change is only for the retail, hotel/condo and boutique office, right?

Potential Exelon Mystic Station Redevelopment | Everett

How long have we been hearing about the the permanent Revs home in the Boston area? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? I'll believe it when see the first kickoff in a SSS.

    Gillette Stadium

I've often wondered why the Revs don't move to Harvard Stadium. The public transit there isn't ideal, but, in my strong opinion, Harvard Stadium is one of the coolest stadiums in the country. It's old, it's dripping with character and it's actually in Boston! I think a stadium that unique would...
