Flying home from Florida on NYE 2019. We got in late, and there was maybe one person handling baggage. He ended up driving the cart into a snow bank outside of the drive-thru and got stuck. He had to come out to ask if anyone had TSA clearance and a badge to go out back and help move the bags...

All the more reason to get that small westward expansion of the terminal fast-tracked. That end gets overcrowded to begin with. If American is stacking any of flights, It has to be overbearing.

I have to openly wonder if they actually have a vision and plan to stick with it, or if they're in some sort of continuous evolution mode that will never see a full vision all the way through. They lost their financing on the medical campus, then secured more financing and went straight ahead to...

I could see 'Hearts of the Sea' or 'Hearts of the Forest' or even 'Hearts of Maine' working. As nomc noted above, pine is a soft wood. It doesn't exactly invoke images strength. I guess pine is strong when you put a lot of it together and/or laminate it. Hearts of Laminated Pine There, that...

The story from the city is that supply chain issues caused delays in electrical and security system components have held up completion and inspections, but I haven't heard of the same supply chain issues with other projects. My guess is that that whole project is over budget, so they had to wait...

I'd hate to see people lose their jobs, but Tyson has been going through a lot of downsizing the past 18 months. I wonder if the Barber Foods plant is in danger of closing? If so, that would be another ideal spot for a station.

My bags taking over 40 minutes to get from the plane to my hands the other night is a bigger embarrassment. I hope whatever upgrades they plan to the baggage claim help them process bags faster with the one or two people they have on hand to handle baggage for evening and night arrivals.

They’d probably have even more money to spend if they didn’t heat that building to 95 degrees. My god it was unbearably hot in the terminal today.

I wonder how much NIMBY opposition Redfern will get from residents of Munjoy Heights, which Redfern built? If they still control that somehow, they should shut the water off for anyone that complains about this project. 😂

When will Sanford have its moment?

I think Sanford has issues related to image and perception. They need to first solve for that. We were in Sanford on the outskirts of town for a soccer tournament this past fall. We stopped into downtown for a team lunch one of the days, and driving in, it felt and looked old, tired, run-down...

They've been taking off on that runway, too. FedEx's 9:15am 757 to Memphis went over my house in Westbrook at a maybe 2000 feet. Shook the whole house.

A big part of that was securing a significant brownfields grant, and that was not easy. It came down to the wire after construction had already commenced. Thompson's Point was once an industrial wasteland. Fitzpatrick, not so much; it was a wetland. I'm not saying that funding cannot be found...

Unless the City foots the bill for some of it or Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney decide they want to buy another team on this side of the pond, I doubt the ownership group of this team has the readily available capital to make drastic improvements out of the gate. No bank is going to lend a...

The post NR2Portland is referring to: Looks like it's one flight a week at this point, Saturday at 3:45pm, and only in March. Must be testing the waters. Hopefully they quickly expand it, because we're flying Southwest to Orlando via BWI in April, and I'd love for at least one of those legs...

Anyone else just catch this? They came almost right over my house at low altitude, which prompted me to go check FlightRadar24 to see what's up. Guessing they came in too hot or caught a crosswind on the first pass and had to go around for a 2nd pass. Edit to Add: This little guy showed up on...
