    Boynton Yards | 99-101 South/808 Windsor | Somerville

Yeah, not really a tease. But one of the many exciting projects in the area I'm working on. This one is going crazy fast, but I think should do for the area what vertex did for fan pier. New lab building at union square, 15 McGrath, another one at Boynton yards (that I'm not working on.) I...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

They could take down the stupid free standing "new schedules" that they leave up until the schedule changes again. Limited space as it is, let's put junk in the way with readily accessible information printed in them that are available at the schedule kiosk, your phone, etc.

And it's keeping me and my team very busy...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I didn't take any pictures, but I gotta say, the expanded outdoor concourse is going to be a huge circulation improvement. I guess I didn't realize it think about them filling in the ends of the existing tracks nearest the existing building. Much better flow. The fact the I see steel sticking...

MIT East Campus - Kendall Square Gateway | Cambridge

The NoMa building is true market rate residential, not student housing. SoMa site 4 is the replacement graduate housing. It's done, and they're moved in. Site 3 is 100% leased as far as lab space, so I would expect Eastgate to come down and building 2 to rise soon. Have not heard a schedule...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I dunno about anything being "it" for this cycle. Unless you mean for very tall building construction. There looks to be a continued boom, but in the life science sector (shorter buildings with much heavier cost, so balances out.) There are many 8-14 storey life science/mixed use buildings in...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

A Marquee would be a nice touch to me, and may not be considered in the same way as billboards. But, something indicating that night's event, and upcoming events would be a nice addition. The different colors for B's and C's games is nice, but something more.

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Your comparing private money building a for profit luxury liner to publicly financed not-for profit mass transit train? That's similar to comparing a casino opening on time to federally subsidized multi-family housing. The similarities end at being a mode of transport with people inside them...

10 World Trade | BGI Office Tower (Massport Parcel A2) | Seaport

I thought that's what we wanted. Less cars in the Seaport. The design is being aggressively passive aggressive about combating traffic in the area.

Looks closer. There is a barrier. Past the greenery.

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

I can tell you that there is a groundwater treatment system provided in both G & H. Whether it's needed continuously, or can be deactivated after a time is to be seen.

This is why I'm bummed I had to skip that NAIOP event this morning. I was signed up....

Echelon Seaport | 133-135 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

All below grade parking garages have pumps that would be used to dewater. In general, there is very little water in these garages. On the rare occasion (however often anyone really thinks this will happen, it's still relatively rare) of a seawater surge into the garage, it'll get pumped out...

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Good to see. Reading those (blech) tweets is painful though. Good reminder that I will never ever have that "service".

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

Well. You don't buy 1500 cars and expect delivery of 1500 cars at once. You buy a contract for 1500 cars at a set price (typically a better price for buying in bulk), and accept delivery of cars incrementally. 10 years isn't that long of a time frame when building this many EMU's and rolling...

Instead of being a dick.... yes. It is maddening, that this was allowed to come to pass. Snarky histrionics not withstanding.

Well. Millennium certainly likes working with Handel architects. Need to get me some contacts over there.

MIT East Campus - Kendall Square Gateway | Cambridge

Shows you the difference between MIT buildings and MITIMCo buildings. Buildings 2 & 5 are MITIMCo while building 4 is by MIT proper. The others are not turning heads with their aesthetics, while this one is visually grabbing your attention.

Ink Block (Boston Herald) | 300 Harrison Avenue | South End

Woulda been better if the city hadn't dicked around with getting Castle Island their permit for here as well. Coulda been a real happening spot. Hopefully someone else trys again.
