The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

Boston base is very similar but different than NGVD I believe. Not sure why we don't use the national level, but that's what makes us Boston.

Echelon Seaport | 133-135 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Re: Seaport Parcels M1-M2 | Seaport Sq. | Seaport That is where the "square" will be I guess. Since Seaport Hill went away. The small open area between the L parcels ain't much of a Square.

Echelon Seaport | 133-135 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Re: Seaport Parcels M1-M2 | Seaport Sq. | Seaport Just a reminder. The M parcels are part of seaport square. They are not separate. These are the M parcels of the overall Seaport Square master plan that is 24 acres spread across many parcels with numerous letter designations. This is why...

Proto | 88 Ames St | Kendall Square | Cambridge

Per the latest e-mailed I got yesterday, Proto is over 65% leased. Good news for them, and good proof (not that it's really needed) that residential is definitely viable and wanted in the neighborhood. Now, if we could get another 10 of these in a couple years, or yesterday.

Proto | 88 Ames St | Kendall Square | Cambridge

BOA moving here, Fidelity moving to the ground floor at 200 Tech Square. Looks like 238 Main Street is emptying out the ground floor in advance of renovations. Retail goal number one at the new MIT SoMa project is to have a Pharmacy (CVS?). Decent size one from my understanding. Let's get one...

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

Re: Longfellow Place (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End I'm hoping for an implosion when they take down the Eastgate tower at MIT. Haven't gotten to see one live before. Fingers crossed.

    SUPERCEDED MXD | Kendall Square

Building 1 at MIT is underway as well, and that's 295'. Even better than those heights is, all 3 of them are infill projects. Adding to the urban build vs. the tear down rebuild at the Akamai site. I prefer they got rid of the old for this, but it doesn't do much for the area. The addedd...

"The Beat" | 135 Morrissey (Boston Globe Site) | Dorchester

0.4 miles to JFK/UMass and 0.7 to Savin Hill . The 0.7 would be much shorter with better connections. Right now it's a walk around the neighborhood and park to Morrissey that could be almost equidistant to JFK. Not shabby not too laborious for most able bodied folks.

"The Beat" | 135 Morrissey (Boston Globe Site) | Dorchester

So much so that you almost out yourself as an alternative ego in some weird way. From ultimate cheerleader to spot on riflespeak when the carmageddon is in your hood. The globe employed a lot of people once upon a time. This area survived then. The rotary has always been a disaster. That's...

Market Central (née Mass + Main) | 415 Mass Av | Cambridge

Re: Mass + Main | 415 Massachusetts Avenue | Cambridge Yup. Gonna have a good view of this one from my office. Clear shot from Tech Square over the projects to there.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Alexion's HQ. There are no labs, but that's big bio. The new labs down towards the marine industrial area will be tied to this area pretty soon too. Kendall is a whole 2 miles away as well. I would call this all the same area.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District Don't care who designed it. The name alone should have no bearing on whether it stays or not. I don't however find it to be that offensive, and prefer it stays. The bland box directly across and to the left in that picture looks much worse imo...

Housing a Changing City: Boston 2030

Nope. Your snark misses. Maybe it's a description of what a town "should be", but in general, not what they are. Our small cities don't live up to what Lrfox is describing, so our towns in general don't come close.

    Amazon HQ2 RFP

https://patch.com/massachusetts/boston/amp/27568468/how-much-you-need-earn-be-rich-boston Apparently it takes less than I thought to be rich in Boston. They may have a different idea of what rich means than many of us methinks.

The point I would make here is, you build dense TOD in the burbs and smaller cities, you can replicate (or be better than) those leaving the poorer parts of the city. Most of the poorer parts of the city, are those under served by public transport. Building dense around CR stations with dense...

    Amazon HQ2 RFP

You could easily add 10,000 units of housing around the three train stations in Brockton and they would be more affordable than the cheaper parts of Boston. They would be nice areas as well if actually done. Improve that local area and add more affordable homes in nice areas than the lower class...
