If you thought the lone tenement looked out of place before, it's going to look downright lost sandwiched in between two 450 foot towers. I sincerely hope they never tear it down. I'd like to see a modest development on that triangle that saves/renovates the tenement in the process.

Yeah, I heard about this. So sad. What a talent. And so young too. I've never been into a band in my life like I was into Rush back in the 1980s. I always thought that I would get to a concert again one of these years but never did. I kind of regret that.

I can't make up my mind on this. On the one hand it does feel irretrievably shoddy. But on the other hand the contrast is so striking I can't help but like it anyway. I especially like the view from this angle (from Friday):

I like it. Architecture isn't as important as cityscape, especially for a building this size.... the context, the continuity of the street wall, the sense of place, that all matters a lot. This may not be great architecture but it's gorgeous cityscape.
