Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

So that makes two carriers with non-stop flights from Logan to Porto. Impressive, even if both are just seasonal. Porto is amazing.

And MSN too! Will we ever see Sun Country's expansion at Logan? They announced BOS--MSN right before COVID and obviously cancelled it.

Apparently I am the only one in Greater Boston who would only take this flight if they ran it in the winter months to ski in BC. Vancouver and BC is beautiful in the summer but so is much of New England. Are these all Alaska cruise ship passengers? If not, are there really that many summer...

    Newton Infill and Small Developments

I believe that was the site of a former Bay Bank where in 1982 my grandmother brought me to open my first bank account as a child. Is it the one with the large parking lot behind?

Their LHR flights (89.1%) are doing better than AA, BA and VS on that same route (only Delta is higher). But yes, LGW, AMS and CDG are not doing great.

I believe work will soon start on an significant expansion of the parking garage at the Framingham Logan Express. The overflow parking across from the AMC Framingham theater always seems to be full.

As a teenager, I spent a lot of time at that Mall in the 80s. Cape Cod restaurant and Charley's forever!

That was over a decade ago! My stomach loves their food but hates their prices so I rarely go.

This is slightly confusing to me. Is there zero service from January 6 through February 14? If so, these are basically holiday flights only over Christmas, February vacation and spring break. Disappointing for anyone hoping to take these flights not around holidays/school vacations.

Where exactly are you referring to that would have space for a project this size? Also, that area across the street is not Brookline. The retail at The Street (and Hammond Pond) are located in Newton.

Quincy Market Update/Renovation | Faneuil Hall Marketplace | Downtown

With some notable exceptions, most restaurant owners do not cook the food themselves. I bet that is even more so the case for restaurants downtown in areas like Quincy Market. So, requiring a restaurant be owned by a women or minority in no way ensures your food will be cooked by a women or...

Quincy Market Update/Renovation | Faneuil Hall Marketplace | Downtown

Do either of these places require that a certain percentage of their vendors be women or minorities? I doubt it. And if they do, no way it is anything approaching a 60% requirement. I've never heard of a requirement that high for anything similar.

Correct. But the Chase Sapphire Lounge at Logan is nicer than the Amex Centurion lounges I have seen at other airports.

Quincy Market Update/Renovation | Faneuil Hall Marketplace | Downtown

I am all for as many locally owned businesses as possible here but why the requirement that 60% of businesses also be women or minority owned? That number seems extremely high to me and could serve to limit the development here assuming anything happens. Was 1/3 women/minority owed not enough...

    Wellesley Developments

A bunch of these have already sold. There are plenty of Wellesley area families who are downsizing and value the proximity of this development to Linden Street, Central Street etc. For a suburb, there is lots within walking distance. Most of the buyers of these sorts of units are not the...
