City Hall Discussion - Redevelopment - Preservation - Relocation

It will even be better when the glass begins to leak/gets foggy/develops water stains/mold appears. Plus the atmosphere should get quite better too when birds get stuck in there/roost. In addition, it should make for quite a warm retreat in the summer as well!

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

From what I understand, 699' is the height based on stories. Is there an official overall height established yet (based on rooftop mechanicals)?

Copley Place Expansion and Tower | Back Bay

Re: Copley Place plan calls for condo tower The waterfall should at least be returned to how it originally operated. Maybe add some colored lighting to it as well.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Is 699' the absolute height or will the mechanical penthouse put it over 700'? I think I saw somewhere 691' plus mechanical penthouse...

Re: Trans National Place (Winthrop Square) Part 2 A building with a pointed top would look here.

Ink Block (Boston Herald) | 300 Harrison Avenue | South End

Re: Ink Block | Boston Herald Property Redevelopment In the original proposal, wasn't there supposed to be an Orange Line Stop/Orange Line extension to there?

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Maybe they should have left small sections of the elevated parcels about the exit ramp locations as elevated parks. A Seatle Space Needle type development may work along there somewhere. A gondola type ride/connection/city view option between north and south station would be nice.

Copley Place Expansion and Tower | Back Bay

Re: Copley Place plan calls for condo tower That is going to really look good there. Any shadow would be welcome at some point during the summer which, I don't think, would even happen at any time with the height of the sun that time of year (maybe late in the day and by that time the...

    The Tobin Bridge Thread

Some green LED lights would be a nice addition at night.

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

This is nothing more than a wide median strip - Better off at this point putting a road up the middle and giving the buildings along the sides bigger sidewalks/some grassy areas/some space to expand out upon. I wonder how much time those who constantly put down proposals along the so called...

45 Province St | Downtown Crossing

Re: 45 Province St I like the red in the sun light. It's almost like that big blank black wall is a billboard that was not intended to be so.

What to do about Government Center

A redesign of the exterior of the JFK building and perhaps adding some kind of top to it would be nice...

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

It should just be re-named The Rose Kennedy Median Strip.

New "Anti-Shadow" Laws Proposed for Boston

It's the winter time that makes all the difference in such a narrow minded proposal. Would anyone notice a long shadow at 4:00PM that lasts for a few minutes in December?

    Genzyme Plant Expansion | Allston

Fix up that bridge in that picture and what a shot one would have!

    The Zakim Bridge

They should just turn the lights off at midnight so the majority of the masses can enjoy them while at the same time save money. They should also look into a lighting policy at all their properties as well in addition to reviewing HVAC operations and maintenance. A great deal of savings can be...

Would it have made sense to have kept the Orange EL along with its current location?

Most of the time, it seems like old photos of city street life have way more people around than modern ones.

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

Re: Filene's I think it's only 45' shorter than the original proposal. If that's the case, then it's amazing that 45' helps make the project favorable to complete. 33 Arch St is 477' right?
