As far as I can tell, the T hasn’t announced any new Green Line shutdowns. The E line shutdown overlaps with the first couple days of the Orange Line’s, but that’s about it.

Ooooh, CLT construction is finally making its way into Somerville. I'm hoping that we'll see more projects with it in the coming years. I feel like CLT buildings are kinda like that tired joke about vegans: they always have some feature that shouts "HEY, LOOK AT ME, I'M PART WOOD!"

Have we heard anything about their plans for lighting the platforms? I'm hoping they don't just leave it at Back Bay levels of dark and dingy...

Speaking of station art, I just noticed that the archway piece that's meant to mark the entrance to the Union station is laying in pieces between the bridge and the little building. Anybody know whats going on with that?

Seems like they’re hoping one of the many hardware/robotics startups in Union will grow to the point of needing a fancy flagship office.

So I noticed that the Cambria put in juneberries/serviceberries/saskatoons as part of the landscaping along Laurel St. Does anybody know if Somerville or the state requires soil remediation for large projects like this? I'm trying to figure out if the berries would be safe to eat.

There was a small fire in the building last September which lead to a lot of smoke damage and the sprinkler system flooding the basement. I’m assuming they’re repairing that and doing a bit of modernization. I haven’t seen any plans or renderings though.

So, does this mean that D line trains at Union Square is imminent?

Didn't catch a picture, but landscaping along Laurel St is going in. Also, there's a liquor license application in the window for a full bar, apparently the restaurant is going to be called Josephine's. Didn't recognize the name of the applicant LLC though. And did some googling, apparently...

They really should have made the station entrance frames (the black things with the pull down grates) a bit taller. Was coming back from PAX with a friend and he ended whacking his head against the bottom of the grate. He's 6'4", so tall but not like NBA tall.
