    Union Square D2.1 | 10 Prospect Street | Somerville

From the weekly construction updates USQ sends out: Looks like you hit the nail on the head.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

I was under the assumption that any leftover funds would go towards paying back the contributions Somerville and Cambridge made to the project.

MIT SoMa Building 2 | 200 Main Street | Kendall Square

Are we adding "offset blocks" to the Boston architecture list? Maybe right next to slanty roofs?

Didn't manage to snap a pic, but glazing has started going in for the restaurant section. Really brings home how BIG the outdoor dining space is going to be. Hope the restaurant is worth visiting for folks in the neighborhood.

    Boynton Yards | 99-101 South/808 Windsor | Somerville

I wish I had managed to grab a photo, but it seems like they've got accent lighting on the mechanical penthouse on 101 South Street... I'm not really a fan. If they had done something interesting with the screening and it wasn't just a lit-up big gray rectangle in the sky.

Rise Together Sullivan Square Project | Inner Belt | Charlestown

Assuming your talking about Somerville, its worth noting they're also getting 3,700,000 sqft of development between US2 and Boynton Yards. When you get 5 brand new opportunities for TOD at once, not every one is going to be a home run. It's really a trade anyways, the old Public Safety building...

    Union Square D2.1 | 10 Prospect Street | Somerville

Agreed. For better or worse, I think Bow Market made enough of a splash to make Union Square a destination for folks not in Somerville/Cambridge. The first bits from this Boston Mag article from 2017 kinda capture my thoughts on it well. It used to be the only folks you saw walking around after...

    Harvard - Allston Campus

It feels like they saw "jaunty cantilevered staircases that don't actually connect all of the floors in a sensible manner" in a picture of a Silicon Valley tech office and were like "Oh yeah, gimme some of those"

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

JT Scott, the Ward 2 city councilor, has a really good writeup about all of the projects either underway or in the pipeline. It's a good read. If it all goes according to plan, there'll be capacity to impound 10 million gallons of runoff in the area by 2027 and some of it is going to be funded...

Ooh, will these be capable of dispensing CharlieCards the?

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

There's an episode of Japanese Railway Journal that covers the story. While the concept was researched by JR Hokkaido, they dont have current plans to put them into service. Instead a smaller railway in Shikoku (Japan's smallest main island) will be operating them.

I'd kinda assumed that the red would get VE'd out of it somehow... Is color expensive?

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Maybe it's a bit "lowmarket" for the area compared to Arclight, but I'd love for Alamo Drafthouse to open up around here. They've already got one in NYC, so it's not out of the question.

Cambria Hotel | 515 Somerville Ave | Union Sq | Somerville

Did some late night googling after dealing with some pains relating to the construction to this project (I'm not a direct abutter, but have been dealing with impacts). Apparently the hotel group already operates the Lenox and will be operating the Raffles as well. Gives me hope that the hotel...

    Reasonable Transit Pitches

With the bus terminal expansion that’s currently under construction, the diff between Bus Terminal - RL and CR/Amtrak-RL transfers would be an additional escalator.

Cambria Hotel | 515 Somerville Ave | Union Sq | Somerville

Nope, 40-unit condo(?) building. Honestly, pleasantly surprised by how many units we're getting here... even if I'm not super keen on not getting relief from construction in the area.

Union Square Somerville Infill and Small Developments

I kinda like them. It’s basically a visual marker that lets you know your not in Cambridge anymore… well that and the sharp decrease in tree cover.

For a non-airline lounge, yeah. The JFK Centurion lounge, Amex’s largest, clocks in at 15k sqft.

Chase looking to get into the lounge game? Hope they learn from Amex's catastrophic success in regards to access and space...

"The Garage" | 36 JFK Street | Harvard Square | Cambridge

Not sure if theres a direct lineage, I think Tokyo Kid evolved from Man from Atlantis, but I'm not sure if the current store (Anime Zakka) has a direct line from Tokyo Kid.
