Anyone think the corner parcel behind the Symphony, at Westland and St Stephen, is another great spot for a point power like 1 Dalton? I am pretty sure they own this parcel as well and its close the same size as the 1 Dalton parcel.

I like the 3D framing. I am not a big fan of the corrugated infills or the one vertical section of curtain wall that isn't broken up with horizontal elements. Generally this is shaping up though

^The schools along Malcolm X are epically bad design. I wonder what the time horizon is before the city rebuilds on a smaller footprint to allow for more development and hopefully a better school too.

I feel the same way. It is so rare new development pulls them off creditably. Every now and then someone gets it right but not near enough!

I don't think that low rise portion with the white trim is part of this project. But agreed, I really like how this came out. It's not a stunner but its certainly not bad either.

Love the building, but I really interested to know who is pushing for move the parcel into the square. It seems like its a good idea however the expense of coordinating all of the utility work and agreements required for such a move are not minimal.

I wish they had taken more opportunities to create real cycle tracks and I do not think they are planting any new street trees which is a lost opportunity.

This is great news. I hope this becomes a launching pad for neighboring communities to adopt similar language, mainly Boston and Somerville.

100 percent agreed that the center cycle track is awful. Not only are cyclists the buffer between counter flowing traffic, you have to dodge all the jay walkers and vehicles camped out there and cross traffic at least one additional time to get into or out of the stupid thing. Not to mention it...

Am I the only one that hates the pavement treatment here? It looks dated already. I also feel like the plaza they are creating needs more activation/seating. How is that space going to be used?

How about naming it simply "The Hub"? I would be interested to see how it could be integrated into a Museum of Science overhaul/redevelopment. They have that god awful parking structure and generally lack street activation/outdoor programming which is a shame because that area it is so high...
