Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

More glass went in yesterday. One panel goes in per day when the weather cooperates. Caulk takes 21 days to settle which is why you see the silver clamps for an extended period after the install. Hoist takes 45 mins-1 hr. to lower from the roof and then re-raise which makes the process take...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I actually like the office tower - it just a little too short and the roof too flat. A spire (like on the old designs) would have helped.

    Downtown Crossing/Financial District | Discussion

It's fine to not have cars here - plenty of foot traffic. But it's SO annoying that there's a curb and raised sidewalk in a pedestrian area. It's always constant confusion about where you're supposed to walk...

    The New Retail Thread

Listen to Guy Raz's "How I Built This" episode with Ron about Panera/Au Bon Pain. Then it gets even MORE confusing.

    The New Retail Thread

Flour is not corporate and sterile in any way, shape, or form. Tatte barely is either -- I agree it's overpriced and not amazing, but they're still all locally owned in Boston and have beautiful spaces.

    The New Retail Thread

Not sure this is true. All I can find is that Tatte is owned (majority stake) by Panera. Never saw news it was sold by Panera - can you back that up?

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

On Friday, crews were replacing a pane or two of glass where the crane was. Weather was ideal, and the guys told me they are only able to do one pane per day -- and that's when the weather cooperates. Friday was unique however, because the hoist/window washing rig got stuck on the ground --...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Agreed. A lot of mediocrity. We need people to think outside the box the way they do in NYC.

I would tend to agree here. But it's been MONTHS. Also very odd that they still haven't finished the exterior of the building on the ground level.

    🔹 What's Happening With Project X?

Not sure where to ask this, but... What's the deal with the lot next to Boston Beer Works? Are there any development plans? Got to imagine that is a key parcel to build out with the Fenway Center surrounding it.
