Radian (Dainty Dot) | 120 Kingston Street | Chinatown

The Chinatown community kind of puts to shame several other neighborhoods on how to work with developers, as opposed to pure obstructionism.

Bulfinch Triangle Infill & Small Projects

These proposals for the parcels are all what--two years old, and we've barely heard anything, particularly lately. Seems discouraging.

    Academic Building @ Suffolk U | 20 Somerset Street | Beacon Hill

According to the Courant, it's not a dorm any more, they wanted to put the art school there, but the MDC building was not a good fit (an art school requires higher ceilings I guess). Also, Suffolk is claiming the building has deteriorated too much to be worth saving.

Columbus Center: RIP | Back Bay

If it's an apartment, does that mean he is a renter? Does that mean he isn't, technically, an abutter?

    Academic Building @ Suffolk U | 20 Somerset Street | Beacon Hill

Bah, too many articles in the Courant. To summarize, Suffolk is proposing to raze 20 Somerset, the Metropolitan District Commission headquarters. Residents, Rep. Marz, are possibly going to oppose, of course.

    Commonwealth Avenue Improvement Project

Yeah, I think the ideal solution would be to cut-and-cover up the Masspike/BU bridge and cut the number of stations down. Though they should do the latter anyways.

City Hall Discussion - Redevelopment - Preservation - Relocation

Everyone wants some sort of new urbanist development in the plaza, but I doubt that is possible so long as the feds are there (as seen in the article in the other thread). Also, the fact that Menino wants to sell the plaza as one chunk tells me we are going to end up with a bad redevelopment...

    1330 Boylston Street | Fenway

Yeah, I know that... hence my question... Anyways, my point is thus: We know the Red Sox are buying up a ton of properties in the Red Sox area. And yet, we have not seen any development news or proposals come out of them or their subsidiaries regarding said properties. We know the Red Sox...

Who owns that BK site (is it a developer or no)? That or the McD's is owned by the Red Sox right?

    Charlestown Infill and Small Developments

These "areas" definitely are prime for development, and I'm glad that Summerville has been active, notwithstanding some Heavy Nimby-ism in Assembly Square and against the first project. The last project, while interesting, seems to me to be a bit too suburban. One other thing I'd like to see...

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

Still would like to see it saved. But... also would like to see something taller than 90 feet.

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

What is that red brick structure with no windows/doors? Can it be moved or demolished? It would be nice if they could demolish it and merge that tiny park next to it into the larger one. Also, I'm not a fan of what they did with the streets, oh well.

Avalon Exeter | 77 Exeter Street | Back Bay

two choice quotes from the latest Courant article: "In response to the latest design [of the office building], State Rep. Marty Walz, who is a member of PruPAC, said, 'I don't think we should be left with a choice between a grand entrance for extra height. We should insist on 155 feet, with a...
