So this could be totally funded from private investment if only the will to do so existed?

Your system is pretty gnarly. This must be built! I wonder how long it would take to do all of it or how much it would cost. Opening up the suburbs this way would put Boston on par with NYC in a lot of ways. Also, I noticed that you have plans for Hanscom Field as a supplemental airport to...

That is awesome. Awesome to the max. Now let's build it.

I threw the commuter rails in there. Not totally done yet but almost.

I guess the A Line would just follow the current route of the 57? I don't see any other way to put a yard anywhere around Oak Sq. and residents definitely would not go for building such a thing around there. That junction at Newton Center seems like it would slow things down quiet a lot, I'm not...

I feel that. It has crossed my mind about something going thru Lower Allston under Western Ave then under the Charles to Central or Harvard... I kinda like the idea of reaching Fresh Pond as a more recreational destination plus the neighborhoods that have considerable density up toward there...

I extended the GL past Porter down what looks like used to be an ROW to Watertown. Maybe I'd switch the F there and the B to W. Medford. Also I realized how close the GLX (F) up to W. Medford was to the Orange, which in reality would be much closer to Arlington so I tweaked that and made it run...

    Crazy Transit Pitches

Interesting, I did not know the YMCA was a rail house, or where it stands now anyhow. I was considering that it would perhaps be possible for an LRT to loop around the roundabout at Oak Sq? But I suppose there should be some way trains could terminate and be cleaned or whatever considering that...

It is actually! It's my idea that the Incompetent Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority may one day be disbanded and formed into a new entity without having to sacrifice the original acronym.

I tried to make this bigger. I'll do the same for the non-crazy pitch one as well.

I think it might still need some work, but that's how I'd do the current system.

Thanks man. I am working on the current system map for shits and grins. I wish the SL would be classified as a regular bus route as it pretty much is to Dudley. I personally find it stupid how hyped this line is when it is really just an articulated bus painted silver with some lane dedication.

Makes sense, never thought about that before. Their reservation for public transit had an impact that can be seen today.

Nice dude, keep at it, I'd like to see the finished product. Enjoy NYC!
