Nah, I didn't do the contest. I think I was living in Montreal or El Paso when it was going on. I may have entered if I had known.. Not cool with the stipulation on the rights though... MBTA can suck one..

Davem, Your map looks SICK. Mine is definitely more heavy rail, I prefer HRT although I do like LRT if done right. Perhaps I'm jaded when it comes to LRT because of my years of having to deal with the B line, as I still do... But I can appreciate how it works in SF as I've taken it there...

    Crazy Transit Pitches

Yea man, at least to Kenmore. With the D ROW as it is could be annexed to blue as the outer suburbs' populations increase and redevelopment takes place in Newton's little villages and automobile dependency decreases in the coming generations. At least that what I'm considering. It would be sick...

    Boston 2024

Yea, I hear that.. Since this is the crazy pitches thread I figure this idea fits in with that theme. The reason I think this would be a suitable spot for such a big complex such as an Olympic one, is that it's location would be easily annexed (solving the host city having the stadium...

I know you're not trying to be offensive, but my roomates and I were able to heat our apartment this last month on Olympic joy alone. Pure Sochi Olympic joy, and it stayed a pretty comfortable 75 degrees. But foreals, the real estate seems too valuable for what it is used as now. Considering a...

Like I said, fossil fuels will be over with in the coming century. I think Boston would be just fine without, what with all its colleges and various other economic engines. The produce can go to an expanded Massport facility in S.Boston. The obsolescence of a fossil fuel industry will make...

http://www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/kraft-to-build-soccer-specific-stadium-in-foxborough.1318565/page-13 Found it. This guy has a good idea I think of the E. Boston MLS location. Pretty interesting idea..

I wish Boston would revamp the streets like they've done in Montreal. They're really serious about making a bike friendly city. Their urban environment is much bigger than Boston as well.

I think at the very least considering future population growth and density in and around Greater Boston, and if there is any chance of hosting an Olympic Games the T would have to become:

I don't know, but it's gotta go. Fossil fuels will be over with this century anyway.

First I would redevelop this giant fossil-fuel based industrial waste of space in chelsea and branch the OL to meet Chelsea where a future BL branch would also terminate. Plenty of space for a proper Olympic complex I would like to also see the NE Rev's relocate to a proper MLS sized...

    Crazy Transit Pitches

That's true, I couldn't imagine the incompetent MBTA to do anything that would actually benefit anyone. It would have to be a collaboration among local businesses, camber of commerce, and Massport if this would ever happen at all.

I would make it a two-way loop, both clockwise and counter-clockwise. I think this would be a great use for the heritage trolley's if the Red Line take up the current Mattapan Line. I would like to see them used for more touristic purposes seeing that they are apart of the city's history and I...
