JetBlue and Spirit agree to merge.

This is a big negative for Boston. As part of the agreement, JetBlue has agreed to eliminate the overlapping service, which means that Sprint flights will disappear from Boston. As an example., Boston-New Orleans is only serviced non-stop by JetBlue and Spirit. Now, JetBlue will be the only...

There's not really any difference, see bellow: Our History In 1984, former Bain & Company partners founded Bain Capital as a private partnership focused on deploying management consulting strategy to private equity investing. Since our founding, Bain Capital has remained highly aligned to our...

    The New Retail Thread

B&N in Framingham is going to be replaced by a supermarket. The developer won't say which one, but I'm guessing either Market Basket of Fresh Market. Every other chain has a location in the area.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

Does anyone know why Delta moved international departures to Terminal E? Other airlines have international departures out of B and C. As usual for Boston, the Terminal E signs says Delta, not Delta International and I'm sure has confused many visitors.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

JetBlue should give up on London and Spirit and spend the next year getting their house in order. My flight was 4 hours late on Friday and they parceled delays out hourly. I am Mosaic on JetBlue and will not longer fly them. They have become a high fare, terribly run airline. Wild expansion...

Future Plans for Hynes Convention Center | 900 Boylston St | Back Bay

This is never going to happen. The nimby's are already crying about shadows on the Commons. The Wu-ers will never allow anything over 300 feet - and the Back Bay hoteliers will demand they basically rebuild the Hynes to protect their business.

Nubian Sq. Parcel P-3 (nee Tremont Crossing) | Roxbury

The first one looks like a carnival funhouse. The second is too jammed together - build one tall tower with more open space. Both are subpar at best.

I find it amazing that none of the two buildings are going to be over the Pike or tracks. They seem to be spending so much on decking over the Pike and then only using it for a park/plaza.

The article makes that clear. It's the Globe's horrible headline writers who apparently don't bother to read the articles before adding the headlines.

Interesting how they are going to put the slabs over the Pike. To my knowledge they haven't announced any closures on the Pike.

Maybe keep them as gas stations. Cities need services such as gas stations. People who live or work in tall buildings need to gas up their cars somewhere nearby. Getting rid of amenities is foolish. (And don't say to buy an electric car, that's a pipe dream of the rich).

    The New Retail Thread

This is strange. We went to eat in the Seaport on a Saturday last month and you could not get a table in any of the restaurants. Even Morton's had only a bar table available.
