I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Read the NYT article on how unions explode the cost of public construction. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/28/nyregion/new-york-subway-construction-costs.html "Trade unions, which have closely aligned themselves with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and other politicians, have secured deals requiring...

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

How many stops are they planning to add to the Worcester commuter rail line? They already added Boston Landing. Soon its going to take 2 hours to get from Worcester to Boston. Only people with a Boston-centric view think screwing suburban commuters makes sense.

Hotel Project (Current Shell Station) | 1241 Boylston St | Fenway

I'm all in favor of construction, especially of hotels, but I am getting concerned about the loss of gas stations in the City. If this gas station closes, there will only be one left in the Fenway. The City needs to consider the needs of car owners too.

It seems like the benefit to Harvard is giant and the benefit to the tax payers is miniscule.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Is the Commonwealth going to collect $900M-$1B extra in tax revenue due to this development? Likely not for many, many years. The Commonwealth needs to start acting like a business and only making investments that will pay off.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Excuse my ignorance, but why is the Commonwealth paying for this? It seems like the only goal is to create open, developable space for a private landholder (here, Harvard University). How is it in the public interest to spend tax dollars to benefit Harvard?

The Roche Brothers DC is consistently busy. Roche Bros usually are, but they did recently close the Burlington store (too much competition from Burlington Wegmans and Woburn Market Basket).

Back Bay Garage Tower | Dartmouth and Stuart | Back Bay

The only reason the developer would give the church any money is because the "state" would require it in order to approve the buildings.

Back Bay Garage Tower | Dartmouth and Stuart | Back Bay

You seem to have forgotten about the separation of church and state. The people's representatives set policy. The church is free to do good deeds with its own money - not to confiscate other's money for their good deeds. That ended around 1776.

Back Bay Garage Tower | Dartmouth and Stuart | Back Bay

This is nothing but good old fashion extortion. Who put this church in charge of affordable housing policy in the City?
