    Charlestown Infill and Small Developments

Yes it is a stick built structure and wood structures of that size have significant challenges. IBC allows for structures of this size with appropriate fire rated assemblies and full sprinkler coverage. Construction costs are still lower with wood than other materials largely on a labor basis.

The prostitution bit is bad enough. The corruption and illegal campaign contributions connected to the travel arrangements are even worse. The media as usual is relatively disinterested because it makes their team look bad. datadyne007 if you think Obama and his policies have been a success...

    Bowker Overpass replacement?

Notice how the concrete spawled from one of the sections recently repaired. Take into consideration the significant swaths of the Bowker which were not recently repaired. MassDOT is gambling on this and someone is going to get hurt or killed. I imagine one of these days an overweight flatbed is...

Equal or Better: The Story of the Silver Line - 1 hour documentary

Unfortunately the 28 bus got shafted out of a once in a lifetime BRT upgrade because certain politicians had to protect their personal fiefdoms. The Indigo Line and an elevated rail line could help immensely. But good luck getting either of those approved and funded.

    Official Gun Control Debate Thread

Doesn't matter in the eyes of the law in DC if something is a "prop" (props themselves require special licenses), private citizens aren't allowed to posses the magazines in the District period. Gregory was advised of this and broke the law anyway because he's a special little lapdog and knows it.
