The Verge | 16-20 Medford Street | Somerville

Every time you enter the lobby, you should hear: Slam da-da-dah, let the boys be boys

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

Cool, yea my cousin was pretty cool, really best described as tall, handsome, and funny. He was a key board player, the guitarist also lived there. They started out as The Pies, then become Euphonic. They were pretty good. Here is there website and yep the main page is that apartment...

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

I'm quite familiar with that unit. Its an awesome apartment. My cousin lived in it from roughly 1995 - 2006. Its obviously huge with the ceilings and what not. When he first lived there with his band mates, yes he practiced and sometimes had shows there, it was all beat up and needing a lot...

Multi-Family Zoning Requirements for MBTA Communities

How valid is the argument, but we will need additional (take your pic) teachers, cops, etc... Its been used constantly since I can remember. Will the additional residential tax and other local sales tax, not help offset those incremental and marginal requirements. Would it also not increase...

Educate everyone on a good website...

This is a really good website about Burlington, but also New England stuff, like the Middlesex canal. I'm not from Burlington, but this site does a great job of telling some of its history and then finding yourself wanting to read it. Well done https://burlingtonretro.com/

One of the coolest thing I've seen on this site, decking over the pike! Does anyone know what the monitor looking boxes are near the top of the walls?

North End Piazza on The Greenway | 198 Hanover Street | North End

Can we just completely rip off, brick for brick, a Venetian piazza and call it a smashing success.

Harvard Enterprise Research Campus | 100 Western Avenue | Allston

Yea, if there is one entity that can afford to use nice materials, build something beautiful and timelessly classic, its them.

Photo of the Day, Providence Style

First time looking at this Providence thread. Providence really needs a large Cthulu statue. With other statues of Lovecrafts creations spread throughout the city

South End Infill and Small Developments

Kind of looks more like a government building or Masonic temple than a church to begin with.

That’s right and he used to post on here. I always pictured Ned Flanders.

I wonder what all the people who were against Columbus Center think all these years later…. Thank god we saved that exposed highway.

Malden + Melrose Infill and Small Developments

Here is a link to a Melrose Housing Plan. There is a sizable draft you can open up that has lots of good data. The specific sites they have in mind for infill is of good interest. https://www.mapc.org/resource-library/melrose-housing-production-plan/

Malden + Melrose Infill and Small Developments

Honey Fitz was a place I only went once or twice, but it was exactly what I imagined it would be. Especially around closing time.

    Is Honey Fitz still there?

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

My band practiced in there in 2007 + 2008. This place was real nice. The one before this was in Everett near the Peanut Butter Factory and that was a total shit hole. But I loved both. More importantly than that. These places are essential for a healthy live music scene. They are such a...

The Vale Boston (Kraft Foods Redevelopment) | Woburn

Growing up in Stoneham you would smell the flavors of the jello when the winds were blowing right. It was pleasant but I believe it ended up being an EPA violation.

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Cool video, but if your wondering why things cost so much to build, partially, it's because you have these post grad degree professionals attaching sensors to tree leaves.

Everett Waterfront Redevelopment | 52 Beacham Street | Everett

I'm not really disagreeing with any of that. Are those tanks just used for fueling the power plant? I thought they were more a storage for various uses/distribution including gas stations. And even if/when we do make meaningful change to heavily reduce carbon emissions to acceptable levels...
