Why not just simple bollards? These things are only inviting, not homeless, but skateboarders and their nasty wax. In time the anti-boarder clips along the edges will be broken off.

The facade reminds me of such churches as San Lorenzo in Florence, where the raw brick, waiting for the marble facade that never came, remains as the "finished" facade.

I love it...it fits nicely into the context of the surrounding buildings and greets one coming from the south.

I take back all the nasty things I've thought about this development. Now that it's almost finished looks good and fills a space, that I hope will be soon complemented by the Govt. Center garage redevelopment.

And BTW I love this tower design and hope it gets built.

Pardon if this issue has already been addressed here, but what will happen to the values of nearby condos in the Province St. tower and Millennium Tower when some of their views are going to be obliterated?
