Condo + Retail Project | 124-126 Salem Street | North End

Lots of places to hang underwear and socks out to dry! And I thought the Lukas was bad.

Quincy Market Update/Renovation | Faneuil Hall Marketplace | Downtown

Another "urban oasis?" Why...does every other corner need to be filled with blank glass walls? I'm very disappointed in the choice of retailers for this otherwise neat building. Plus it's there for no other reason than to rake in cash from mostly women. How does this "oasis" bring people...

The Lucas | 136 Shawmut Ave | South End

    Ick...from beginning to end.

Our Lady of Good Voyage | Seaport Sq Parcel H | 55 - 57 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Or both....timber ceiling....fire hazard. And the cost...Just the ridge vent I had to put on our church roof in 2001 cost $22K.

Forecaster Building Addition |121-127 Portland Street | West End

Whoa....how to go from classy to crappy in one stroke! Whose idea was that wall?

North End Piazza on The Greenway | 198 Hanover Street | North End

Re: Retail Development | 198 Hanover Street | North End The question is: "Who owns the buildings behind, that have views of the greenway and that are getting high rents as a result?" Discover that answer and you'll know who's pushing their weight around.

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport I'm not surprised that people are increasingly disappointed with this district. I'm afraid I made some similar noises almost 10 years ago, yet many here assured me that I was wrong. The first clue for me was the sheer width of the streets and the...

Avalon North Station | Nashua Street Residences | West End

Why not just simple bollards? These things are only inviting, not homeless, but skateboarders and their nasty wax. In time the anti-boarder clips along the edges will be broken off.

Copley Place Expansion and Tower | Back Bay

The waterfall rock sculpture was presented with great fanfare when the mall first opened. At that point the water flowed from the very top and created quite a noise as it hit the pool below. They've already eliminated the "stream" that once meandered. And when Simon took over they kept a...

    Future Skyline

Downburst! Great post. Thanks from a Bostonian in Tampa hungry for urban architecture.

Our Lady of Good Voyage | Seaport Sq Parcel H | 55 - 57 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

I have long complained about skateboarders using public furniture and private property for their recreation. I would not dream of riding my bike into a church, library, or hotel. I would not smoke where smoking is prohibited. Unfortunately common sense regarding potentially destructive...

The Beverly (née Merano) (Parcels 1B & 1C) | Bulfinch Triangle | West End

Re: The Merano (Parcels 1B & 1C) | Bulfinch Triangle | West End Charles Bulfinch is smiling!

Our Lady of Good Voyage | Seaport Sq Parcel H | 55 - 57 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

The facade reminds me of such churches as San Lorenzo in Florence, where the raw brick, waiting for the marble facade that never came, remains as the "finished" facade.

Your opinion on the State Street building

I love it...it fits nicely into the context of the surrounding buildings and greets one coming from the south.

    Taj Boston for Sale

It's already been ruined as a "Ritz" property. It makes sense to convert it to an extension of the condo building already next door and connected. I imagine it would be a very expensive conversion, though some of the larger suites, unless changed around, are almost ready. I was sad to see the...

One Canal (formerly Greenway Center) | Bullfinch Triangle | West End

I take back all the nasty things I've thought about this development. Now that it's almost finished looks good and fills a space, that I hope will be soon complemented by the Govt. Center garage redevelopment.

And BTW I love this tower design and hope it gets built.

Pardon if this issue has already been addressed here, but what will happen to the values of nearby condos in the Province St. tower and Millennium Tower when some of their views are going to be obliterated?

City Hall Plaza Revamp | Government Center

Re: Offical City Hall Plaza Proposals Part of the issue for me is the renderings. They look like 2nd grade children's art projects. With a serious rendering of how things actually could look season to season, a much larger Ferris Wheel with enclosed gondolas, so that it could offer a better...
