Ya, it is from an apartment in 860 Harrison Ave, which is a residential building that is part of that complex. I want to take some picks with a real camera instead of a cell phone next time I am over there, but I think the graininess adds to the mood in this case.

The materials on the lower floors look really cheap to me in person... like dinky strip mall cheap. The the section with the store fronts is too flat and lacks texture. However, the sign looks cool. I wouldn't really care if the tower was awful if the street level was good, but it isn't.

I have to agree, the difference in height between the Hancock and Pru and the rest of Back Bay makes the skyline from Cambridge really distinctive and beautiful. I don't know why so many people are desperate to see it filled in...
If it tells you ahead of time about the surge pricing and people are willing to pay, then I don't see the problem. If you think it's too expensive, don't use it. Channel 5 can get off their case. We need more alternatives for transportation.
