The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

This is pure conjecture on my part, but here is my prediction based on what we have seen so far and what I can see via the Webcam. It appears that they are preparing the bottom of the site for some sort of mat foundation pour. The anchorages on the bottom of the site also seem to be more...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Is it possible that the podium/hotel portion could be primarily steel and the residential tower is cast-in-place concrete? If that's the case, isn't the core usually constructed with the concrete structure? FWIW, there seems to be a fair amount of rebar above where the rigging is being dismantled.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

There was definitely a crane jump over the weekend. I can confirm, I was having lunch at Flour Saturday afternoon when they were adding one of the segments. (at least 3 were added as two additional segments were resting on the ground when the first one was being raised) FWIW...there was also a...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Via the Webcam, looks like the climbing form for the core on the second tower is being dismantled. Not sure what to make of that as the core is currently taller than the phase 1 podium for this side of the site, but much shorter than the height of the rental tower...

Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

The excavation on the portion of the site that will contain the 14-story building has ramped up in the past couple of weeks, so it looks like both of these will be going simultaneously.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

If you look at the Webcam, you can see that this project is still very much in the digging phase, though there are some signs this stage is almost complete. https://app.oxblue.com/open/BostonProperties/BostonRegion As you can see, they appear to have bottomed out on the left side of the site...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District Just throwing this out there as a theory....are you a city resident? Is a city agency able to enter comments into the public record from somebody who isn't a city resident or doesn't have a specific financial or legal stake in the project?

Echelon Seaport | 133-135 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Re: Seaport Parcels M1-M2 | Seaport Sq. | Seaport If you look at the Fan Pier Webcam, it appears site work is beginning http://www.earthcam.net/projects/turner/fanpier/

Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

The Downtown Boston BID had a post on Facebook saying that the hotel would be a new "Hyatt Centric." That's been the only thing resembling a public announcement of this portion of the project.

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

That view from the 93N is a bit jarring at top. Frankly, if they didn't want the expense of closing the entire roof, it probably would have gone a long way if they had simply sheathed the inner structure of the roof with some sort of dark colored fascia material. Seeing that inner structure of...

Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

I think the W across the street would actually be slightly taller than this, perhaps by a mere couple of feet?

Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

Just an FYI...according to the city's Website, the full building permit for this building was issued on January 9. (Erection permit for a 23-story hotel with 340 rooms) The developer appears ready to go.

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport FWIW...that equipment on Parcel M has been sitting there since at least late October. Since the machinery showed up, that site has been awfully quiet and there has been next to no press on the development. Isn't that equipment usually rented and...

    Allston-Brighton Infill and Small Developments

I'm not sure how new to the area this form of construction is. My old condo building in Revere was constructed using this technique. 145 Bennington Street - constructed in 2007...

Copley Place Expansion and Tower | Back Bay

I just saw this come across on Twitter...sorry to be the one to post bad news. FWIW...I've always had my suspicions about Simon's committment to build this tower. They are a shopping mall developer/operator. Building a luxury residential tower always seemed out of their wheelhouse...

    11-21 Bromfield Street | DTX | Downtown

I really don't think anybody on this board is necessarily lamenting the loss of an off-brand shoe store at this site. What they are lamenting is the loss of a authentic, well constructed pre-war masonry building with a strong urban context and good street interaction. Others have said it...

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

FWIW...I was driving back into the city from Quincy Saturday night and the open area of the roof where the mechanical hoist is located was lit up. It was just a simple white light, very subtle. I'm not sure if the lighting was a function of remaining construction or part of the design, but...

Hours added onto your commute? Because the Franklin Street head house is closed? Are we talking about the same project?

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

According to Nicole Dungca from the Glove via Twitter: Quote from Pollack: "I don't think it's the most important thing for the MBTA to be doing in the next three years." To me, that's the quote of a transportation secretary who wants to pull the plug.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

I think you're way too early on that. The Globe article quotes Pollack as saying that if the board were to go forward with the revised plan, construction wouldn't begin for "at least another 18 months." So late Nov/Dec 2017 at the earliest. I think mid to late 2021, or maybe even 2022 is the...
