Does anyone have information as to why MIT is not building higher with Vassar Street dorms? I feel that this street is dying for some height variation.

I would much prefer that BU deck over the pike parcels than to build over Storrow. Improved connections could be made though.

The IMP states that the current location of the BU Academy is a potential development site. COM would make sense at that location.

The Pardee building on Bay State will be another highly visible structure from the Charles. It’ll be interesting to see which direction architecturally they decide on.

Where does it state that COM will move to west campus?

Anyone who frequently uses South Station knows that the side entrances are used quite a bit due to their conveniences to street crossings and accessibility to other nearby points of interest. I'm not sure anyone suggested a grand side entrance to rival the main entrance.

Not necessarily. There is no intent on replacing the main original entrance and I don't believe (correct me if I'm wrong) any intent on behalf of this project to extensively change the layout of the entrance to South Station. It just seems like a missed opportunity (especially on the Atlantic...

The passageway to the train concourse appears pretty narrow and tucked away on the Atlantic Ave side. There is really nothing depicted that implies "major train station here." Surely some signage is planned but overall it appears they've reserved the "grand effect" for the arches and ceiling...

While they would be a mere mile apart, the locations offer completely different settings that likely wouldn’t see them in direct competition with each other. Ritz also chose to move out of the Newbury Street location as the building no longer was able to compete with luxury hotel amenities...

I really wish Boston was getting a few pre-war revivals — they really are timeless when executed as well as those examples from NYC. Hell, even West Palm beach is getting one.
