Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

No one would be getting screwed. People with more money than they know what to do with would be taxed by a city that they chose to buy property in. That money would be used to improve the city, which in turn helps maintain property values. You really think all the super wealthy people in the...

    The New Retail Thread

That is being done in Boston. I've seen food trucks parked at or catering inside at Sam Adams, Night Shift, Turtle Swamp, Dorchester Brewing, Down The Road, etc.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I'm glad I don't have to see this annoying "correction" for about 350 days. We get it. Your great great grandma came over from Cork and you went to Dublin once.

    Parking Permits

Drivers are the biggest drain on city resources and you think they should be treated like royalty just because they may have to start paying $20 per year for a parking space that on the free market would be exponentially more than that? How many millions of dollars have non drivers paid in...

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Planning a new urban neighborhood and pushing off public transit until 2040 or whenever is super dumb. Planning a city around cars is super dumb. The Boston Landing station is getting way more use than predicted. If they can afford $1 billion to straighten a tiny section of highway they can...

Jackson Square Infill and Small Developments

I think the height is about right for the neighborhood. Maybe another story would have been good. 350 units is huge for a less dense neighborhood like JP. They call it a "green community" yet they are adding three new roads. The very last thing Boston needs is more roads. Especially for a...

Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

It'll never cease to amaze and frustrate me that we plan cities based on the preferences of suburbanites around here. So much housing and jobs aren't created because of this car centric nonsense.

Exchange South End ( Boston Flower Exchange) | Albany Street | South End

They call the plaza/park the "Albany Green Quiet Garden" which sounds lovely until you realize that they are putting a street between the buildings which is the opposite of green, quiet and garden. No one wants to sit in a park with cars whizzing by 10 feet away. They should not add car access...

Waterfront Park Proposal | Fort Point

I love the idea. I was recently in Oslo and Copenhagen and enjoyed the waterfront parks, restaurants and the pedestrian/cycling bridges that connect them. Boston needs to stop designing places for cars and start making them for people.

SBWTC /South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center | Seaport

Yup. The name is a slap in the face. Calling it a "transportation center" and giving 99% of the resources(taxpayer money and property) to drivers is status quo for this city, state and country though. Projects for drivers get done in a few months. Projects for public transit riders take decades...

Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

Completely taking away the sidewalk, especially in a heavy foot traffic area, is ridiculous. Someone is going to get killed. Pedestrians get treated like garbage in this city.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

In terms of serious crashes Hubway riders have an impeccable record over the years. Google "Boston hubway crash" and what you will find is a speeding driver from Quincy who crashed into and destroyed a hubway station and then drove off. I'll take an ignorant tourist on a bike over an ignorant...

    BCEC expansion | Seaport

I wish Boston were more like Montreal when it comes to being pedestrian friendly. They have at least a couple miles of pedestrian only streets. We have one tiny pedestrian zone and it has vehicles constantly going through it and they let cabs drive through it starting at 6PM. Boston has...

SBWTC /South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center | Seaport

I still can't believe that in 2017 they are building parking garages on such valuable land. And with taxpayer money no less. What a waste. Meanwhile public transportation is criminally neglected in this neighborhood and underfunded statewide. They completely screwed up this neighborhood by...

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

As someone who actually uses the Greenway I can tell you the last thing on my mind is, "Hey, you know what this park needs? More honking car horns and toxic auto emissions!" A trolley system would be a huge upgrade over all the cars. In the meantime they should close of at least part of the...

Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

“The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.” -Socrates As you can see people have been complaining about younger generations for thousands of years. Its time to stop. There is nothing new or...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District I'm very glad the city and parks are getting a lot out of Millenium. Remember when a lot of people were rightfully worried that the city was going to get screwed over by the BRA taking a lowball offer?

The Harlo (née Skanska Fenway Project (Burger King))| 1350 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Skanska Fenway Project (Burger King) | 1350 Boylston Street | Fenway Hojoko is nondescript? I'd say its the very opposite. Where else can you drink a 1.8 liter bottle of sake by a pool? Or eat wasabi russian roulette sushi while playing Pacman?

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Its hard to think of something that would draw more people to the park than a beer garden run by one of the most in demand breweries in the country. I already eat lunch in the greenway a lot in the summer and now it looks like I'll be visiting regularly later in the day.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

If I was part of a neighborhood group or something I wouldn't go easier on a religious group in regards to affordable housing or similar things. They don't pay property taxes. They get things like police and fire department on the backs of taxpayers.
