I want height wherever we can get it, but I'd say this is one of those times where if we get all the public benefits the RFP requires, I will be very lenient in my criticism of whatever gets built.

Isn't that wayyyyyyyyy ahead of schedule? Don't get me wrong - that would be incredible, but I can't imagine they would be able to do it that quickly. My guess is they wanna get the headhouse up and somewhat enclosed before the weather gets gold/wet/snowy.

I think it's that none of the routes are technically fixed - they want to be able to respond to demand.

Yeah but what the City really wants is commercial - they need it to sure up their tax base. I wouldn't necessarily want less commercial here, but I would like to see some of the residential go a bit higher.

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport I think the difference is how old the neighborhood is. The seaport as a neighborhood didn't really exist until recently. All of those other places have restaurants that have been there for years and years and don't have ti sink hundreds of thousands...

Ditto. I Know it seems kind of extreme, but if they want to maintain historic accuracy, then they don't get to pick and choose like this.

Obviously a new tower > a single restaurant, but I am kind of bummed to see Towne's outdoor patio space gone. I thought that was a great spot for dinner.

I hadn't considered this until I took the shuttle one evening. Made incredible time getting from the airport to the Allston U-Turn and then got stuck in traffic. Didn't end up being too much quicker than the T would have been.

Seems like this thread is as good as any to post a request. It always gets mentioned on this board about how when they recently redid Beacon Street, they put in all the wiring for signal prioritization, but I am having trouble finding official documents that show this. Can someone help me out...
