GE probably wants to use helicopter to: get to private jets at Hanscom For short trips to CT, NYC, NJ Doubt they're really interested in using helicopter to get to Logan.

Re: Fairmont Line Upgrade why not 1 extra loco with 3 car trains to get 30-minute headways with three trainsets as a cheap way to test the results of short headways. If more hardware is warranted, add another 3 car train for 4 total.

Re: Old Boston Edison plant on Summer St It's old and ugly but the stack height and unusual color makes it one of the better landmarks in that area. I hope they build something tall and notable, not a 6 story apartment block.

Re: North-South Rail Link ^^^At the risk of sounding stupid...^^^ Is it possible to run an electric train(s) back and forth when no mainline trains are transiting making sure it is ahead/behind those trains when they do come with a means for CR trains to pass (a switch to N/S track as needed).

Re: was bulldozing columbia point a mistake Agreed^^^ These housing projects were massive, unmitigated disasters - so glad this one is gone. I hope society never forgets how bad they were and never considers building anything like them again.
